Chapter 8 — Care

Part 2
_________________________

When Chu Feng knocked on the office door, Dong Fang raised his eyes to him and gestured for him to come in.

Chu Feng walked over and first handed Dong Fang Rong Xun’s medical certificate and said, “Teacher, Rong Xun was sick on Friday and stayed in hospital for two days. I wanted to let him rest a bit more so I didn’t let him do his homework this week.”

Dong Fang hurriedly asked after listening, “How did he get sick?” When Rong Xun talked to him on the phone, he didn’t mention this matter.

“It’s been cold lately and he caught a fever.” Chu Feng said, “After hanging IV drip for two days, he’s now fine.”

“That’s good, you guys are in your senior year now, so pay more attention to your health.” Dong Fang was slightly relieved to hear that Rong Xun was fine, “Is Rong Xun getting used after moving into your dormitory?”

“He’s doing fine.” Chu Feng smiled, “He has a good personality and gets along very well.”

“Hmm. It’s your third year of high school, so you should plan for the future. You should also take care of your studies, a good university will help you in the future.” Dong Fang took the opportunity to educate Chu Feng.

Chu Feng didn’t show any impatience, but said, “You’re right. Yesterday, Rong Xun gave me two questions and I suddenly felt like I had found the right way to study, I had a feeling of being enlightened.”

Dong Fang was very surprised that Rong Xun could make Chu Feng take the initiative to study, it was simply a miracle.

“Rong Xun has his own study method, I think it’s quite useful for me. So, I want to discuss with you if I can sit at the same table with Rong Xun and let him tutor me.” said Chu Feng.

Dong Fang frowned slightly, hesitating a little. The fact that he was willing to study suddenly made him, as a class teacher, happy, as everyone liked to have a few more good students in the class, but he couldn’t let Chu Feng hold back Rong Xun.

Chu Feng knew what he was worrying about and immediately said, “I promise I won’t delay Rong Xun’s studies. If his grades decline, I will immediately change seats.”

Hearing him say this, Dong Fang couldn’t afford to refuse again, so as not to ruin the motivation to study that had so sprung up in Chu Feng, but……

“Class will start in a while, you go back first. I will ask Rong Xun during breaktime. If he is willing, then he will change seats with you.” Dong Fang said.

“Okay, thank you teacher, I’ll go back first then.” After saying that, Chu Feng turned and left.

Dong Fang looked at Chu Feng’s back and felt as if Chu Feng had grown up a lot overnight. In the past, if he had been advised to study hard, not to mention to arrange for him to study at the same table, he would still have been cold-faced. Today, he listened to her and took the initiative to ask to study, which really surprised her.

When he walked into the classroom, he saw Rong Xun holding a sesame ball and chewing on it while reading a book, with a serious face, just like a little squirrel, especially adorable.

He wanted to go over and pinch his face, but there were so many people in the classroom, so he could only think about it and couldn’t do anything.

The two classes in the morning passed quickly. During the break, Dong Fang called Rong Xun out. After the liberal arts and sciences were divided in senior  high school, only two or three students in their class chose science. The school didn’t bother to inconvenience themselves, so this class was basically kept intact. No additional students came in and no class teacher was changed which also saved the students and teachers from getting reacquainted with each other. The students also integrated into the senior high school learning environment as quickly as possible, and were the first class to get into the state in senior high school.

When Dong Fang saw the injury on Rong Xun’s face, her heart sank and asked, “What happened to your face?”

Dong Fang was not Chu Rou, so she certainly couldn't be fooled so easily, Rong Xun’s brain turned quickly and said, “I was hurt by accident when I was trying to stop a fight.

This reason was quite reasonable, so Dong Fang did not pursue the matter further and asked, “Are you feeling better? It’s important to study in senior year, but you also need to take care of your health. If your body is exhausted, it’s useless to say anything.”

“Yes, I know. It’s already fine, I’ll pay attention to keeping warm in the future.” Rong Xun said honestly.

Dong Fang nodded in satisfaction, “One more thing, Chu Feng came to me and asked me this morning, wanting to share a table with you. I want to hear what you think, if you don’t want to then forget it, don’t force yourself.”

Rong Xun really didn’t expect that Chu Feng would talk to the teacher about being at the same table with him, he was a little happy and moved. He tried to hold the smile at the corner of his mouth and said, “I can do it.”

Seeing that he was not reluctant, Dong Fang said, “That’s fine. You go and change your seat, but you can’t let your tutoring to Chu Feng delay your studies, or I’ll change your seat back again.”

“Okay, don’t worry, teacher, I won’t delay my studies.” Rong Xun promised.

“Well, go ahead.” Rong Xun had always been an obedient and sensible student who hadn’t let him worry about anything, so she was very tolerant towards Rong Xun.

After break time there would be a ten-minute free period. Usually at this time, students would choose to walk and talk in the playground, relax, or go to the supermarket set up inside the school to buy some snacks. Usually, Chu Feng was the one who would go to the supermarket, but today he rushed back to the classroom early.

The headteacher called Rong Xun away as soon as class was over, so he must have been talking about changing seats. He believed that Rong Xun would not refuse. At this time, Rong Xun should be moving his desk, he didn’t want to tire Rong Xun out so he rushed back to help.

Sure enough, as soon as he entered the classroom, he saw Rong Xun who was dragging his table. Chu Feng smiled, walked over and hugged him from behind.

Rong Xun was startled and turned his head to see that it was Chu Feng, he blushed in embarrassment and whispered, “Don’t do that, people will see.” He was well aware of how terrifying rumours could be.

“There’s no one else, don’t worry.” Chu Feng lazily rested his chin on Rong Xun’s shoulder, sniffing the faint and very refreshing scent on the nape of his neck—it was the smell left by the washing powder, “I’ll help you move.”

“Okay.” Rong Xun nodded stiffly, although he liked Chu Feng, he was still a little uncomfortable and inevitably nervous when Chu Feng was so close to him.

Chu Feng smiled and pinched Rong Xun’s earlobe, then let go of him and helped him move the table.

Although the seats were moved back two rows, there were not many people in the class and there were only five rows in total, so it would not affect his ability to read the blackboard.

The author has something to say:

Chu Feng is determined to put Rong Xiao Xun into his own territory!

Translator's Notes:

Here's where the confusion begins.

"Everyone, I had to edit something in the previous chapter. In this chapter, “敲了敲办公室的门,董芳抬眼看到他,示意他进来” was in the raws and when I translated it, I just realized that the character 他 was used that means he or him. " This is what I found.

But, in the next chapters, it keeps on changing from 他 to 她. I am not sure if it was just a author's typo. There was a chapter last time that it happened, it changed from from 他 to 她 several times. Anyway, I will use she or her from now on. It's very confusing lol.
