Chapter 210: The Stripper

Hearing this, Arroz surveyed the chaotic battlefield in front of them. In just a few short exchanges, all ground units had been obliterated by the colossal snake. "What do we do now?" he asked.

"Fight to the death," Tang Fang replied without hesitation.

Tang Fang was never one for mercy or gentlemanly conduct. Whoever sought his life would have to be prepared to lose more than just their teeth—even something as monstrous as this giant serpent wasn’t exempt from that rule.

Inside the Zerg base, the number of Banelings had reached an alarming count of 200. Widow Mines worked by locking onto targets and launching the bombs before detonation, but without any ground troops providing cover, it was highly likely that the snake could detect and clear them out before they activated. On the other hand, Banelings exploded on impact—whether they hit their target or not, any attack triggered a catastrophic explosion.

Weighing the options, Tang Fang ultimately decided on unleashing the Baneling horde.

"Damn it, let’s go for it," he muttered through gritted teeth. With that, he summoned every last Baneling—200 of them—lining up densely across the circular platform like spilled green peas.

Each Baneling was over two meters long, nearly three times the size of a Zergling. Their backs were adorned with pulsating sacs that glowed a sickly green, making them look like massive oval emeralds from afar.

The prettiest things often come with the deadliest consequences. Two hundred Banelings equaled two hundred biological bombs. Under Tang Fang's command, they split into two streams, rushing toward the giant snake with terrifying speed.

This was the first time since the battle began that Tang Fang had summoned Zerg units, and clearly, even the snake hadn’t anticipated this move. It froze momentarily, stunned. By the time the toxic swarm closed within 300 meters, it finally reacted, letting out a furious roar. Its worm-like body recoiled, its spine retracting slightly before swinging sideways in a devastating arc.

Pop, pop, pop… The sound of bursting sacs filled the air as torrents of green acid sprayed everywhere. The silver-white vertebrae of the snake glistened eerily, resembling freshly steamed winter melon drenched in vivid green sauce.

The force generated by the Baneling explosions was immense. Thick globs of acid splattered high into the sky, raining down onto the platform like a toxic hailstorm. From a distance, Tang Fang watched in awe. The area-of-effect (AOE) range of the Banelings was insane—anywhere within a 150-meter diameter around the blast point was completely covered in corrosive liquid. Clearly, these disposable units packed far more punch than their in-game counterparts suggested.

While Widow Mines dealt absolute damage over 400 meters, the Banelings' reach was limited to 150 meters—but when you considered the sheer devastation caused by their splash damage, combined with the Widow Mine's shockwave effects, the comparison became staggering.

But upon reflection, it made sense. A standard 155mm high-explosive shell could scatter shrapnel across nearly 100 meters. For creatures the size of three or four humans, having such destructive power wasn’t entirely unreasonable.

As Tang Fang and Arroz soon discovered, the true potency of the acid lay in its composition. As units designed for breaching defenses, the chemical compounds stored in the Banelings’ sacs were significantly stronger than the acid Roaches spat. Large clumps of viscous green goo landed on the snake’s silvery spine, which was tougher than most super alloys, spreading rapidly into vast yellow patches.

Two hundred Banelings, each the size of several human bodies, detonated simultaneously. Thanks to the splash effect, nearly half of the 600-meter-long silver spine turned a charred yellow.

"Ssssss…" An eerie hissing noise accompanied the rising plumes of smoke from the darkest yellow spots where the bone tissue was being eaten away, leaving behind jagged, grotesque pits.

"Roar, roar, roar..." This time, the snake truly felt pain searing into its very marrow. Unlike the scorching plasma fired by siege tanks or the phase disruptor rounds shot by Dragoons, the Banelings' acid was a venom capable of corroding metal and destroying organic tissue. Though formidable, the snake remained bound by biology; even its strongest bones couldn’t withstand the relentless bombardment of 200 exploding Banelings.

It writhed violently on the ground, its body twisting and convulsing. Its tail whipped left and right with deafening pings, smashing shuttle wreckage, electronic machinery, and transport vehicles into fragments of twisted metal. Yet no matter how hard it pounded, the structural materials of the buildings remained stubbornly intact, refusing to deform.

The importance of a spine cannot be overstated. Not only did the potent acid eat through the bones, but it also poisoned countless parasitic mites living inside. As the snake rolled, waves of dead mites poured out of holes in its spine, pooling on the ground below.

The snake had tasted its own bitter medicine. Those tiny beings, insignificant as ants in its eyes, had bitten back with ferocity, inflicting bone-deep agony. Trembling with rage, it retracted its exposed spine inch by agonizing inch. Thankfully, its robust physique held firm—if the spine snapped, even a creature as mighty as this one would face dire consequences.

After what felt like endless breaths while enduring excruciating pain, it managed to pull its spine back inside. Immediately, it redirected stored EZero resources to regenerate its skeletal structure. Then, lifting its head, baring sharp fangs, and opening its mandibles wide, it unleashed the loudest roar since the battle began.

Enough was enough. These weak, lowly insects dared harm it? It wanted revenge, retaliation—it wanted them annihilated.

Just as fury consumed it, roaring skyward, a shadow passed overhead. Suddenly, a Medivac appeared above it.

Inside the half-destroyed cabin, Churchill was frantically shedding pieces of his powered armor.

"What the hell are those two idiots doing?" Tang Fang asked, noticing the strange behaviors of the two idiots.

Arroz sighed exasperatedly. "Who knows what nonsense those clowns are up to."

Before either could guess, Churchill finished stripping off his gear, tearing open his uniform to reveal a patch of thick black chest hair. He proceeded to gyrate his hips, twist his torso, shake his neck, and wiggle his feet.

True to form, this aspiring actor proved multi-talented—he started dancing provocatively.

"Holy crap," Tang Fang exclaimed, jaw dropping. "A stripper? Does Churchill think he can seduce a snake?"

Sometimes intelligence isn’t a blessing. Watching Churchill flaunt his hairy belly and perform a sultry dance, the snake visibly froze.

That momentary pause gave Housen his chance. Sneaking out from behind, he detached the grenade launcher from one arm, clutching Churchill’s discarded magnetic containment tank under the other. Creeping silently to the edge of the cabin, he aimed carefully and dropped the tank directly above the snake.

The magnetic containment tank plummeted freely from the sky. Taking advantage of the snake's stunned state, Housen flipped it the middle finger and shouted, “Fuck you, asshole!” before firing a Judicator grenade at the falling tank.

Kaboom. The grenade struck the unprotected surface of the tank, causing it to explode instantly. Unleashed, the concentrated plasma inside surged outward, forming a fiery red ball that the snake swallowed whole.

Gurgle. The once-roaring snake suddenly choked mid-scream, emitting a bizarre hiccup-like sound before convulsing violently with a piercing shriek.

The magnetic containment tanks strapped to Firebats were essentially cages made of metallic hydrogen, designed to hold superheated plasma. When Housen blew apart the casing, it was akin to puncturing a hot air balloon—the plasma escaped uncontrollably, turning the entire tank into a bomb. Even the snake, with its thick hide, couldn’t escape unscathed.

Seeing the snake thrash in pain, Churchill and Housen burst into laughter. Pointing at the writhing creature below, Churchill crowed, “Take that!”

Turning to face each other, the pair exchanged triumphant high-fives. Still laughing, they leaned backward, bumping butts playfully. Unfortunately, Housen still wore his powered armor while Churchill was bare-skinned. The collision sent poor Churchill flying.

The cramped cabin offered little room for error. Churchill sailed off the edge with a startled cry. Housen blinked, feeling something missing behind him, and turned around just in time to see Churchill clinging desperately to the edge of the broken steel plate.

“Housen, you son of a bitch, I’m going to kill you!” Churchill screamed.

Housen blinked innocently.

Below, Tang Fang and Arroz averted their gaze, unable to watch the spectacle.

Ssssss… Moments later, the snake’s regenerative abilities kicked in, dulling the pain. Finally catching its breath, it slammed its tail against the ground, flattening a severely damaged siege tank into scrap metal. Slowly raising its head, it glared icily at the ascending Medivac.

It was enraged, utterly livid. Fury awakened its primal instincts. Pulling its segmented body inward, it opened its jaws wide, preparing to unleash a skill akin to a “wind pump,” intending to swallow those infuriating pests whole.

But just then, a “balloon” rose leisurely from below, dangling two figures from long tendrils: Tang Fang and Arroz.

These puny insects, defeated so many times already, dared attempt escape again? Cold fury ignited in the snake’s eyes. Being wounded by such lowly creatures—even non-fatally—was an insult to a top predator.

And yet, here they were, floating defiantly upward, mocking its pride.
