Chapter 7 — Care

Part 2
_____________________

After the meal, Chu Feng helped Rong Xun make his bed. Although he was unskilled, he could always get it right if he was careful. Rong Xun, who was driven to his bed to rest, didn’t feel sleepy. He just watched Chu Feng busy himself, and the smile at the corner of his mouth never disappeared.

After making the bed, Chu Feng arranged his desk and closet for him. These were also very simple, and they were done in no time. During this time, Si Xian gave him a hand, but Gui Heng didn’t help, since he was busy copying the homework due for tomorrow. Even if he was not a good student, he still had to hand in such things as homework.

After finishing Rong Xun’s things, Chu Feng came to his bed, reached out his hand and nudged Rong Xun’s nose, and asked, “Not sleeping?”

“Can’t sleep.” Rong Xun replied, covering his nose with the quilt.

“Then close your eyes and rest, I’ll wake you up in an hour.” Chu Feng said.

Rong Xun said, “I haven’t done my homework yet.”

“You’re sick. What homework is there to write? Give the medical certificate to the class teacher tomorrow. It’s okay if you don’t write it.” Generally, if they were sick, they didn't need to rush to hand in the homework as long as they have the medical records of the school doctor or the hospital. Even if they didn't write it, as long as the knowledge could keep up then it would be fine.

“At least I should read the book.” Rong Xun had always been a good student, and he had never fallen behind in terms of homework.

“You’ll read it when you’re well and better.” Chu Feng covered him with a quilt and asked, “What kind of fruit do you want to eat? I’ll buy it for you later.”

“Don’t bother, I won’t eat.” He was also embarrassed to always let Chu Feng spend money.

Looking at Rong Xun who was obediently lying in the quilt, Chu Feng smiled and said, “Supplementing vitamins is good for your health.”

There was a large supermarket just outside the east gate of their school, which was very convenient and inexpensive.

“I’m fine.” Except for the bruised areas that would hurt when pressed, everything else was fine.

“You say that you’re fine even when you’re not.2“ Chu Feng rubbed Rong Xun’s soft hair and said, “Go to sleep, I’ll go out to buy something and you’re only allowed to get up once I come back.”

“Oh…” Rong Xun didn’t want to show Chu Feng how happy he felt from this3, so he simply nodded.

Si Xian, who heard them talking over there, chuckled and said, “Young Master Chu, those who didn’t know that you’re taking care of Rong Xun will think that you’re taking care of children.”

Chu Feng said with a smile, “Isn’t Rong Xun just a child?” After speaking, he put on his coat, took his wallet and phone, and prepared to go out.

Seeing that he was going out, Gui Heng had already copied his homework and impatiently jumped up to go with Chu Feng. Chu Feng didn’t object, so the two went out together.

Si Xian watched the two leave together, then glanced at Rong Xun, who was trying to sleep on the bed, showing a slight smile— in his view, this was Chu Feng’s compensation after he had beaten Rong Xun, which Rong Xun deserved.

The next morning, around seven o’clock, the morning bell rang in the entire dormitory punctually. Rong Xun had already woken up, but he just hadn’t risen yet. Si Xian and Chu Feng were awakened by the bell, and both struggled to get up to change their clothes.

Chu Feng no longer remembered how long he hadn’t gone to bed early and got up early on a regular basis. Even if he occasionally needed to get up early for filming, it would only be on certain days. This time, he had to return to a regular routine, he was a little uncomfortable.

After putting on his clothes, Chu Feng opened Rong Xun’s closet and picked one for him. Jinhua4 High School did not have a mandatory rule that students must wear school uniforms every day, there was some kind of event that would require a uniform, so students usually dress casually. Of course, some odd or weird clothes for some boys and super short skirts and shorts for girls were explicitly forbidden, so basically everyone would choose casual clothes, sportswear and the like, which were also more convenient.

After Rong Xun changed his clothes, Si Xian just finished washing his face, Chu Feng took Rong Xun to wash up together. Si Xian started his daily routine from Monday to Friday— waking up Gui Heng.

Gui Heng was a person that found it difficult to wake up early5. If he was left alone, he could sleep until noon.

Only after Rong Xun and Chu Feng finished washing and applying the medicine on Rong Xun’s body did Gui Heng wake up and get out of bed.

Chu Feng brought the blushing Rong Xun to his table, opened the drawer, which was filled with skin care products. In fact, in high school, Chu Feng did not care about this at all. These things were prepared for him by his beauty-loving mother. He didn’t want to be nagged6 by his mother, so he brought it to school, but he didn’t use it, and was all left in the cabinet. If someone needs it, he would give it to them.

It was only after he became an actor that he started to take care of himself under the supervision of his agent and it gradually became a habit. After all, as an actor, face was very important.

He took a few bottles from the cabinet and looked at them, picked out the basic ones, then poured some out and started applying them on Rong Xun’s face.

Rong Xun dodged a bit and said, “I don’t need this one, you can use it.” Although he didn't know these brands well, but looking at the packaging, he felt that it wasn’t cheap.

“Be good.” Chu Feng grabbed him and pressed him on the chair, avoiding the bruised areas and continued to apply it on him, “Skin should be taken care of.”

Although Rong Xun’s skin had not been wiped with anything, his skin was very delicate because of his youth. Chu Feng liked the texture of Rong Xun’s skin like this and instinctively wished to maintain it. Anyway, he had a lot of things that were all natural ingredients, so Rong Xun wouldn’t be allergic if he used them.

Rong Xun couldn’t resist him, so he honestly let him apply. Chu Feng’s fingers moved across his face, making him a little nervous, but also a little excited. Being so close to the person he liked, Rong Xun felt like dreaming, very surreal. But the warmth of Chu Feng’s hands and the look in his eyes made him feel this was extraordinarily real.

The author has something to say:

Chu Feng took the opportunity to take advantage of him!

Touching Xiao Xun’s face!

Translator’s Notes:

formal courtesy – In the raws, 见外 (jiànwài) was written. I searched and it also means to regard someone as a stranger.

You say that you’re fine even when you’re not – In the MTL, it translated as “I say it’s okay. It’s okay” I can’t really make sense of it. If anyone can understand, just leave a comment. This is what written in the raws: 我说没事了才是真没事

Rong Xun didn’t want to show Chu Feng how happy he felt from this – In the MTL, it translated as “Rong Xun doesn’t want to make Chu Feng happy” I also can’t really make clear of it. If anyone can understand, just leave a comment. RAWS: 容洵不想让储烽为高兴,

Jinhua – 锦华 is written in the raws. I encountered this in early chapters but I removed it since I can’t make sense of it, I just used high school instead of Jinhua before. This time, I figured out I’ll just add high school to it since removing it isn’t in my option. But I can just use high school the same as I did before. Idk, I’m confused. Let me know your opinion lol.

Finds it difficult to wake up early – this one, doesn’t really have a problem. I just think that this translation isn’t smooth and there are better ways to rephrase this one. I just can’t think of it.

Nagged – 念 (niàn) means read aloud; study; attend school; think of. But according to MDBG, it can also mean to give a tongue-lashing. So, I thought I can rephrase it with nagging.
