Chapter 10: Snow
As Jack felt the bald guy's brain thoroughly crushed, the tension that had been building up inside him finally dissipated.
With a forceful kick from Jack, accompanied by the removal of the blade without an electric arc from the flesh, the bald guy's body collapsed.

"Turn it off!" Jack and Tapai simultaneously shouted, finally getting Song 6PUS to comply.
If he dared to livestream again, Jack would shove the barrel into his mouth and fire a shot.
Jack raised his head, letting the rain wash over his face. At least this way, he could stay somewhat clear-headed. Right now, he felt a bit drowsy.
As he felt the acid raindrops fall onto his ear, now missing a portion, it started to ache.
While the rain poured down, Jack suddenly noticed something emerging from the dark clouds. Gradually, the rain stopped, blocked by something in the sky.
At first, it appeared as a black rectangle, but it extended slowly, turning into a massive black metal structure that almost filled Jack's entire field of vision, nearly as big as a mountain, continuously expanding.
Watching this thing drilling out of the clouds and constantly growing, Jack felt an overwhelming sense of suffocating fear of the unknown. "What on earth... is this thing?"
The next moment, the sky suddenly turned bright. After adapting to the intense light and opening his squinting eyes, Jack could barely distinguish it—a glaringly large lamppost-like structure, almost occupying the entire sky, gazing down upon everything below like a god.
At this moment, Jack finally realized—this thing in the sky was an artificial creation, a gigantic space mothership!
Next, a deafening mechanical voice sounded from above, "Warning! Warning! This is the territory of Peak Technology. Peak Technology Corporation(高峰科技公司) has the final ownership of space wreckage. Please cease looting activities immediately and evacuate the area within 1 minute, or the company will take all legal measures to protect its property. 59. 58. 57..."
The voice alternated in various languages, mechanical yet cold. The information it contained made Jack deeply uneasy, especially after seeing the reactions of the others in the wreckage.
The gunshots elsewhere had stopped. Faced with the enormous thing overhead, they had no interest in killing each other. Instead, they quickly gathered their spoils and left.

Dazed and disoriented, Jack lifted his head to find the sky filled with drones' red and green lights for nighttime positioning. It seemed as if a downpour of red and green deathly snowflakes was falling from the sky.
"Quick, let's go!" Song 6PUS ran over, using his lone arm to support Jack on the other side, sprinting toward the garbage mountain.
As the red and green snowflakes landed on people's heads, they began spewing forth deadly flames, clearing everything alive in the wreckage. Bullets rained down with the water, making it hard to distinguish between rainfall and bullets.
Watching those drones flying toward them in the sky, Jack gritted his teeth, raising his metallic prosthetic arm and launching bullets against the rain, detonating drone after drone in the air.
Yet, the drones seemed endless. No matter how many were destroyed, new ones swiftly flew toward them.
"Are we really going to die this time?" Jack kept searching for a solution amidst the red and green snowflakes filling the sky, but no matter how hard he tried, he couldn't come up with one.
The drones were not the real concern; shooting down many of them didn't matter. The real threat was the enormous steel behemoth in the sky!
With just the three of them, it was utterly impossible to deal with that thing. The disparity between the enemy and themselves was too great; it was practically a hopeless situation!
At this moment, the sky was filled with drones above the three; it was like an eerie gaze akin to that of death itself, freezing the very air around them.
"Chance of rescue: 0%... Chance of rescue: 0%..." Tapai kept calculating, seeking a glimmer of hope.
With the drones filling the sky and the colossal spaceship that had replaced the sky, Jack felt completely hopeless. It was a presence that humanity was almost impossible to resist.
Just when they were about to be riddled with bullets, Song 6PUS, who had been following Jack, stepped forward. "Heroes always arrive last. Let me handle this."
"What?" Jack was shocked. "What is he going to do?"
Song 6PUS faced these airborne reapers without fear, quickly pulled out a gold card from his pocket, held it high in the air, and said with great pride, "I! Have! Money!!"
When these words came out, the gun barrels of the drones in the sky halted, and their cameras turned towards Song 6PUS.
