“Do as I say.” Balie refused any objections, “Whether or not we can succeed will depend on if this gift is enough to hook him.”
Limgir turned quiet at that. After a moment, he finally nodded.
Shien doesn’t know of any of that though.
When he does learn of it though, he won’t actually feel any discomfort. On the contrary, he would instead end up laughing with joy.

ReplyDeleteThis whole Stalim plot feels weird because they are just so dumb. Do they really think that they can force a marriage with the princess? And even if they somehow did, why would she listen to or obey them? She would still have all the power and would probably rout their whole operation of being corrupt pricks. They severely underestimate how important an individual is in this case, where the princess alone can stand against most of the country if she felt like it.
ReplyDeleteNo, what they do not understand, is the princess's personality. In his first plot, his thinking is that once the princess is sadden by the betrayal and death of Shien, his son can use this chance to get into her heart, so once she got her heart, getting the marriage will be easy. It is a clever plot, but at the same time also stupid if you knew her true personality.
