When Su Jinyue ran to Aunt Wu, There were already a lot of people gathered around. Some other people were also running in this direction.

It was common to encounter snakes when working in the fields, but there were not many poisonous snakes around. Additionally, snakes generally did not take the initiative to attack people.

“Everyone, get back.” Su Jinyue squatted down and rolled up onto his trousers. The area on Aunt Wu’s calf where the snake had bitten had turned black and swollen. She quickly took off Aunt Wu’s belt, and tied it on the thigh of the leg she was bitten. She tightened the belt into a tourniquet to prevent the toxins from spreading to the heart.

“Does anyone have a knife?” Su Jinyue asked without raising her head. She must remove the snake venom first.

“Will a pocket knife work?” A villager asked, taking out a pocket knife. He brought a sweet potato when he went to the fields and shared it with his wife when they were hungry.

“Give it to me.” Su Jinyue reached out and took the pocket knife. She used a knife to cut a cross-shaped wound at the snake bite. Then she began to squeeze the leg from where the tourniquet was tied.

Aunt Wu’s entire leg gradually turned purple-red, and black blood kept flowing out of the wound.

Su Jinyue kept squeezing Aunt Wu’s leg hard, and drops of sweat dripped down her forehead. As time passed, the color of the blood gradually changed from black to a normal red.

Seeing the color of the blood return to normal, everyone's face showed a look of relief. Everyone lived in the same village. No one wanted to see a tragedy happen.

“Look, the blood has turned red. It seems the snake venom has been squeezed out.”

“Fortunately. Dr.Su is here. Otherwise, Aunt Wu would be in a dangerous situation right now.”

“Yeah! Aunt Wu was really lucky!”

“When I just ran over, I happened to see the snake that bit Aunt Wu running away. It looked like a poisonous snake.”

Seeing that the venom was mostly cleared, Su Jinyue stopped squeezing and let out a long sigh of relief. “Thank you. Please take Aunt Wu to the clinic. There may be residual poison left in her body.”

“Alright!” The villagers responded.

Su Jinyue stood up. She immediately felt dizzy and her whole body fell forward. It hadn't been long since she recovered from the leg injury. After helping Aunt Wu, her stamina was already somewhat overdrawn. She needed to exercise more before heading up the mountain to collect herbs. Climbing the mountain would be a problem with her current strength.

Uncle Li immediately reached out to support Su Jinyue, “Dr.Su, are you okay?”

Su Jinyue steadied herself, “I’m okay.”

Seeing two villagers carrying Aunt Wu, Su Jinyue followed behind.

“Dr.Su, let me help you.” Uncle Li said with worry. Dr.Su’s complexion didn't look very good.It seemed her body wasn't fully recovered yet.

“Thank you! I’m much better.” You only felt a lack of energy. She was not as dizzy as before. It shouldn’t be a problem to walk to the clinic by herself.

Xu Tiansheng returned home and unloaded the herbs basket on his back and handed it to Song Yiren, “Is Jinyue in her room?”

“She went out.” Song Yiren took the back basket and placed it on the table. She then took a bamboo rack for drying herbs and poured out the contents of the back basket.

“Went out? This kid ran outside just after recovering from the injury.” Xu Tiansheng frowned and shook his head.

At this moment, messy footsteps approached from outside. Two villagers walked in carrying Aunt Wu.

“What happened?” Xu Tiansheng stepped forward and saw the pale face of Aunt Wu, who was being carried.

“Dr.Xu, Aunt Wu was bitten by a snake while she was working in the fields. Dr.Su has already treated her.” one of the villagers explained.

Xu Tiansheng nodded and pointed inside, “Put her on the bed.”

Jinyue had already moved back to her room. She only stayed in the clinic for the first few days to make it more convenient to take care of her.

The two villagers carried Aunt Wu into the clinic.

Seeing Su Jinyue following, Xu Tiansheng smiled approvingly, “Well done.”

Being bitten by a snake was not a trivial matter. If she was not treated in time, she could have died.

Su Jinyue smiled and touched her nose. “Master, I will go help treat Aunt Wu’s wound.”

Although the poison had been squeezed out, some follow-up treatment was needed to prevent toxins from remaining in the body.

Xu Tiansheng gave Su Jinyue a stern look, “Your complexion looks terrible and you still want to run around? Go to your room to rest. Leave everything here to Master.”

“Master is the best!” Su Jinyue smiled playfully and walked to her room. She was indeed a little tired.

Back in her room, Su Jinyue fell asleep. She only woke up in a daze when someone knocked on the door. “Who is it?”

“It’s me.” Song Yiren’s voice came from outside the door.

Su Jinyue frowned, “What’s the matter?”

If she had a choice, she really didn’t want to live under the same roof as Song Yiren. Lest she saw her and had an urge to strangle her.

“Master asked me to call you for dinner.”

“Alright.” Su Jinyue replied lazily.

She got out of bed and went to the yard to get a bucket of water. After a brief wash, SU Jinyue walked to the hall. The clinic was connected to their living quarters. The clinic was in the front and they lived in the back.

Walking into the hall, she saw Xu Tiansheng drinking wine. He was accustomed to drinking a small cup of wine every day. He said that drinking was like life. One must be moderate and not greedy. Otherwise, it was easy to hurt the body over time.

“Master!” Su Jinyue greeted Xu Tiansheng and walked over to her usual spot. Song Yiren prepared her rice and placed it in front of her.

The dishes on the table were simple. There was a dish of peanuts, one braised fish, and two dishes of vegetables. In this era, it was already quite good to be able to eat these.

Xu Tiansheng sipped his wine, “Are you tired?”

When he had seen her pale face earlier today, he was worried. At the same time, he was even more relieved. This girl ignoring her own body to save people showed her character.

“I'm okay.” Su Jinyue picked up the rice and put vegetables into her bowl. She was happy to be able to save a life.

“You handled things well. Master is very happy.” Xu Tiansheng smiled and put a peanut into his mouth.

“Master's happiness is greater than anything else. Me being able to save someone was all because of Master’s contribution.” Su Jinyue winked at Xu Tiansheng playfully.

“Flatterer!” Xu Tiansheng smiled and looked at Su Jinyue with a face full of affection.

“Where? I’m telling the truth.”

Seeing the interaction between Su Jinyue and Xu Tiansheng, Song Yiren felt a little envious. Since she was little, Master had never spoken to her in such a tone, let alone with such a face full of doting.
