Chapter Two: Panic at the Clothing Store
The sun rose slowly in the clear sky, and it looked so beautiful at a glance. On the ground, the wandering zombies gradually gathered to a place where the sun did not shine.
While Mo Xi was still sleeping, Meng Han searched the store for some clothes to change. The sunlight shone on Mo Xi's little face as if it had cast a golden light over her eyes. Her facial features are very delicate and small which makes people want to protect them at first glance.
Meng Han and Mo Xi's family are neighbors, and he is seven years older than her. When Mo Xi was fifteen years old, Meng Han, who was twenty-three years old, moved next door to Mo Xi's house and became a neighbor. There is only one railing in the back garden that separates the two families. When Mo Xi was playing with a golden retriever in the garden, she often saw Meng Han.
As time went on, they became familiar with each other, and Meng Han became a frequent visitor to the Luo Family. Sometimes, Meng Han goes on a business trip for months, and when he comes back, he would bring gifts to Mo Xi. From all over the world, there are all kinds of things.
Mo Xi woke up from hunger, she rubbed her eyes and found Meng Han had changed into new clothes.
Pointing to the clothes on one side, Meng Han said, "I picked them from here. See if you have any clothes you like." Mo Xi's clothes are already dirty.
Mo Xi blinked strangely, "Is it really okay to wear these clothes without the owner's consent?" Her eyes are extremely innocent, clear, and not stained with dust.
Meng Han blushed at Mo Xi's gaze. "I've already left money for the shopkeeper." I just don't know if he's still alive.
Mo Xi nodded, pushed the wheelchair around the store, and looked at Meng Han disappointedly, "There's nothing I can wear here." This is a men's clothing store.
Meng Han knocked on his head. "Then wait, I'll take you to the children's clothing store to have a look."
Mo Xi frowned, "Brother Meng Han, I am already 20, I am not a kid anymore!"
Looking at the girl in front of him, she has a childlike face, and he often regarded her as a child. “Okay, you are a big girl.”
"Goo-goo..."
Mo Xi quickly covered her stomach and looked at Meng Han embarrassedly. “My stomach says she’s hungry. ”
Meng Han took out his cell phone and glanced at the map above. "Let's go out and turn left and walk about a kilometer. There is a small supermarket."
While talking, his cell phone suddenly rang. The ringtone sounded especially harsh throughout the quiet environment. The zombies outside the window heard something and already looked over at the shop.
Meng Han quickly hung up the phone, grabbed Mo Xi's wheelchair, and hid in the pile of clothes. Four zombies came in at the door, walking slowly in their direction. Mo Xi's eyes widened, Meng Han covered her mouth and whispered, "Shhh, don't talk. ”
Mo Xi nodded but felt that her heart was about to jump to her throat. She hugged the doll in her arms tightly, not daring to move.
The four zombies, muttering the language of the dead, circled the whole clothing store and found no living people. Then, they wandered around again, preparing to leave.
Suddenly, Meng Han's mobile phone rang again, and the clear ringtone directly pointed the way for the zombies. The four zombies who were about to leave quickly turned their heads and rushed towards the place where the sound came from.
Meng Han gritted his teeth, hid Moxi, then stood up and attracted the attention of the zombies. As soon as the four zombies found the target, they rushed up desperately. Meng Han fled backward and escaped the attack.
However, the place was so small that Meng Han couldn't run at all, and the four zombies quickly caught up with him. Meng Han picked up the stick and knocked one of them hard on the head. One was beaten to the ground, but the other three had seized his arm.
Meng Han hurriedly dodged backward to avoid a wave of attacks, but the zombie who was knocked on the head grabbed Meng Han's foot on the ground and opened his mouth to bite him.
Soon enough, Mo Xi, who was hidden in the dark, saw it, screamed, drove the wheelchair, and thrust a dagger into the temple of the zombie, which completely killed the zombie.
Meng Han got up quickly and didn't care to ask Mo Xi where the dagger came from. Pushing her wheelchair, he rushed towards the door. The three zombies behind him chased after them, and the zombies outside heard the movement and wandered over here.
After leaving the door, Mo Xi reminded, "Turn left. ”
But whether it's on the left or the right, they're all zombies. When the zombies saw the two of them, they ran over roaring.
According to the previous map, the supermarket is right in front. There must be at least a hundred zombies chasing behind them. Meng Han gritted his teeth and said, "Mo Xi, sit tight."
Mo Xi nodded, "Yes."
Meng Han quickened his pace, followed closely by the zombies, and, instead of stopping by the supermarket, he made a quick escape into the next alley. Many of the zombies crashed into the walls before they could turn the corner.
Walking through the alley, Meng Han threw his cell phone at Mo Xi. "Let's see if there's any way we can get back to the small supermarket."
Mo Xi took the phone, opened the map, and then pointed to the right. “There is an alley over there, which should be next to the clothing store where we just hid.”
“Ok." Meng Han nodded, pushed Mo Xi, and rushed over there.
Zombies are chasing behind, and there is also a steady stream of zombies in front of them. The stick in Meng Han's hand does not have much lethality. It would be nice if there was a handy weapon. The only thing that made him feel that Mo Xi's wheelchair had become lighter and less strenuous.
He effortlessly knocked the head off a zombie as it walked by.
"Don't run so fast, Brother Meng Han. Look behind my wheelchair. There are two-stepping pedals. Put it down." Mo Xi said.
At this time, however, Meng Han could not afford to take care of her wheelchair. “Mo Xi, when we are safe, we'll see it.”
"Listen to me, hurry up and put it down." As Mo Xi urged, another zombie rushed in front of her. Meng Han quickly took her to the side to avoid its pursuit.
Meng Han glanced at the zombie thrown behind him and stopped to check under her wheelchair. Sure enough, there was a two-stepping pedal. He put the stepping pedal down and said, "I've put it down."
Mo Xi said, “You stand up.”
“What?”
"Stand up!" Mo Xi's tone was almost an order.
Meng Han hesitated for a moment and stood on the pedals. Who knows, the wheelchair actually moves on its own, and it was very fast.
"This...what's going on?"
Mo Xi pursed her lips. “When we are safe, I will explain." Mo Xi flexibly turned the direction of the wheelchair and threw away a large section of the zombies behind them. Following the route on the map, they turned back to the street of the clothing store. Because all the zombies on this street went after them just now, there are no zombies now.
Mo Xi drove the wheelchair directly to the entrance of the small supermarket, and Meng Han got down and pushed Mo Xi in.
