"Recently,
my concubines back in the mansion had caused me lots of worries. Also, I've
been fully focused on mitigating and controlling the floods. Sometimes, no good
ideas come to me, and I will be inevitably annoyed. At these moments, speaking
with Mo Qingge helps me relax and clear my mind. This might be nothing to
Emperor Father, but it is scarce for me." Jun Liyuan said sincerely,
"For such a person to be my mansion, I'm deeply grateful and want to
cherish him."
"I
understand." Emperor Yanxi sighed softly as he leaned back. Back then,
Concubine Xian could always chat with him when he was troubled. Her voice and
worse always helped him relax, allowing him to deal with court affairs better.
Now, there was no such woman by his side. Emperor Yanxi also missed her much.
For Jun Liyuan to encounter such a person, he also agreed that he should
cherish him.
Hearing
Emperor Yanxi's agreement, Jun Liyuan was a little surprised. But the Empress
did not have a hint of shock but instead was understanding of the Emperor's
words. Somehow, she seemed as if she knew who Emperor Yanxi thought of. Not
only Emperor Yanxi, but she sometimes wished for her sister to be with her.

"It

Although
Mo Qingge stayed in his mansion, their relationship was pure, and nothing worth
criticism. He repeatedly emphasized this fact.
"Emperor
Father, he originally didn't want to stay. Mo Qingge refused to enter the
palace and any royal mansion. This is well-known amongst Tranquility Pavilion's
patrons. I took painstaking efforts to convince him to stay as a
performer."
Emperor
Yanxi did not speak as he mulled over those words.
Instead,
the Empress spoke first. She asked with some concern, "How did he get
hurt?"
"I
heard that he was unwilling to bend to power despite being tortured. All ten of
his fingers were viciously broken. If he didn't meet Qiyang, he would be dead;
or if he survived miraculously, severely handicapped." Jun Liyuan
explained, avoiding the minute details.
Empress
scowled, as her silently blazing fury gleamed in her eyes, "How dare such
things happen in Ye Empire. What's the difference between this and abuse of
power?"
"Please
calm down, Empress Mother ." Jun Lixuan said. "Mo Qingge offended
someone of authority. Staying with Third Brother is also a form of protection
to save his life. It's a blessing in disguise."
"Who
is this authority you speak of?" Emperor Yanxi asked.
"He's
not a prominent official. Emperor Father doesn't have to worry. After all, Mo
Qingge is fine now, and it is not easy to pursue responsibility. I think a
little punishment as a lesson will suffice."
"Yeah."
Emperor Yanxi nodded. Since the victim stayed at Jun Liyuan's Mansion, it was
appropriate for him to settle and wrap things up.
"Since
that person can't play the zither, the person claimed that Yuan'er was addicted
to the music is deceiving you?" Empress felt that this matter should not

have a seat. Don't be standing."
"Thank
you, Emperor Father." The two sat down, and Jun Liyuan said, "Fifth
Brother did indeed come to my mansion a few days ago. He said that he wanted to
discuss the flooding. After dinner, he met with Mo Qingge who had just
recovered. They met from a distance. Mo Qingge saluted from a distance and
left. I did not introduce him, nor did they speak. It may be that the Fifth
Brother had met Mo Qingge before and recognized him."
Emperor
Yanxi was very dissatisfied with the Fifth Prince from creating rumours from
nothing. He summoned Jun Liyuanin fear that the report was right. After all,
Jun Liyuan's a son from the main family branch. Emperor Yanxi cared more about
him. Now, Jun Liyuan was proven innocent, he could rest easy.
"It
doesn't matter if you want to keep a zither performer in the mansion. Just make
sure you do not cross the line. Since he entered your mansion without breaking
the rules, you can rest assured. You have my support." Emperor Yanxi no
longer cared about this matter. All of it could follow as Jun Liyuan wanted.
"Thank
you, Emperor Father." Jun Liyuan knelt and bowed.
"Okay, let's have breakfast together." Emperor Yanxi
waved his hand and ordered someone to prepare food.
