The sun was shining brightly.

At that moment, Bai Xi and Fanfan had already trained in the space ring for a year and a half.

"Ho, ha." Bai Xi was running with Fanfan, taking vigorous strides.

At this time, Fanfan was still a teenage girl, her hair tied up in a ponytail. However, her bulging muscles that were shining in the sun were proof that her energy core was developing to become even stronger, which made Bai Xi's training more challenging.

Deep footprints were left behind on the ground that Bai Xi ran across.

Bai Xi's footprints were orderly. His steps were methodical, he inhaled and exhaled in short intervals, looking relaxed. The naked (censored) exposed arms and thighs were neither fat nor lean. They were strong muscles that could only emerge as a result of occasional exertion.

“Ha! Bai Xi and Fanfan found a lush forest in the space ring. The entire area was covered with green grass. The towering trees were all bathed in sunshine.

"Ding Ding Ding!" Bai Xi stepped firmly onto the branches of the big tree and used the momentum to jump off the tree.

“Chirp chirp--Swoosh!" The birds in the woods were frightened and flew away from their nests.

Fanfan's eyes flickered, slightly relieved to see the teenager walking through the woods with his hands looped under the tree.

"Okay, Bai Xi, are you hungry? Let's go outside to look for food."

"Thud!" Bai Xi stepped back onto the ground from the tree and then replied.

"Ok." The young boy standing under the sunlight had a youthful appearance and bright, shining eyes.

Compared to a year and half ago, the boy's smooth and tender skin had become much rougher after the training under the sun. His originally fair complexion had also turned into a healthy wheatish color. The curve of his arm was dazzling, and the muscles that were gleaming in the sun were stretched taut, as if ready to burst at any time now.

Fanfan secretly applauded in her heart as she examined Bai Xi with critical eyes. Although he still had a long way to go compared to her, it was still pretty good for a young boy who was almost nine years old.

It’s just that….

Fanfan's slender eyebrows wrinkled slightly as she examined Bai Xi thoroughly. She had to look down, her gaze stopping at Bai Xi’s head that was at the same level as her lower abdomen.

"Let's go." Ignorant about what Fanfan was thinking, Bai Xi walked over to her with a dazzling smile.

"En."

----------------------------------------------

"Hwooooooo…….haa" He took a deep breath, taking in the outside air. The last time he came out was two months ago. Although the space was comfortable, it was only just space. There were nothing but birds, insects and trees inside. He once wanted to catch a bird and roast it to eat, but he was unable to catch it for some reason. Perhaps the space didn’t allow it? Forget speaking, they didn't even know whether or not the space had its own consciousness, so there was no way for them to find that out.

Fanfan and Bai Xi appeared in District 21 where they entered last time.

During the year and a half they spent there, they would leave the space to find food outside. The abandoned safe area was silent and empty. They shuttled through Area 8, Area 10, and Area 17. Although the journey was long and boring,  Fanfan said that walking in solitude was helpful for their cultivation. If one revisited the same place a second time, they would have different feelings about it. The more one saw, the more their horizons would be widened. Although he didn't know where Fanfan had learned such enlightened words, as long as his teacher said it, he would believe it!

He had to listen to his teacher, since teachers were always right.

Bai Xi went looking for food on his own, not feeling afraid at all. After all, Fanfan had always kept him within her line of sight. Although he wanted to be self-reliant and protect Fanfan like she protected him, he was still helpless now, lacking the ability to do it.

After cleaning up two or three zombies, Bai Xi found a surviving supermarket. He turned over a box with a rustle.

The warehouse was dim and messy, Bai Xi rummaged intently.

“Bark-bark” Suddenly, a dog approached Bai Xi while barking.

Bai Xi looked blankly at the brightly colored puppy that was charging ahead to crash into his arms.

Was it...a dog? Why was there a warm-blooded dog here? Won't it be eaten?

Could it be…a Zombie dog infected by zombies?! But why was it still so warm...

Thinking of that, Bai Xi immediately stood up and drove away the puppy.

“Woof~” The puppy that fell to the ground whimpered, feeling aggrieved.

"Bai Xi, what's wrong." Fanfan's voice came from behind.

"I don't know, there is a puppy here." Bai Xi vigilantly stared at the spotted dog lying nearby.

Fanfan walked over to Bai Xi.

"A dog?" Fanfan looked at the spotted dog and thought for a moment.

"Don't worry about it, have you found the food? Go if you found it." Fanfan said to Bai Xi and walked out first.

"Ah, oh, okay." Bai Xi was a little curious about Fanfan's reaction. If it was a zombie, Fanfan would have disposed of it already. Could it be that this was a very ordinary puppy?

He glanced at the spotted dog on the ground again. It stared back at Bai Xi with glossy eyes.

Was this really ‘ordinary’...Even such a brightly-colored puppy could be considered ‘normal’...

"Don't look at me like that. The boss is in front, and I can't take you in."

He shook his head and threw the idea out of his mind. He glanced at the puppy one last time. Although it was a cute animal that gave him a strong urge to pet it, he didn’t want to move it randomly since it’s origin was still unknown.

After sorting through the food he found, Bai Xi left with a large bag of food.

“Woo~~”The puppy's glossy eyes sparkled with radiance, as if it was wondering what was going on.

"Fanfan, let's go." Seeing Fanfan standing right in front of the supermarket, Bai Xi walked forward quickly.

"En."

Fanfan and Bai Xi focused attentively on the space.

A long time passed.

"En?? What happened to the space? " The black hole that should have appeared long ago had not yet appeared. Bai Xi turned to look at Fanfan with a tilt of his head.

Fanfan frowned.

"I don't know either. I sensed a slight connection to space, but no matter how I stimulated it, there was no response."

What was going on? Had the space disappeared?

Bai Xi looked at the ring in her hand. Although the strange light on the ring was faint, it still existed.

What happened to the space?
