Chapter 433: Divine Armament · Moon Goddess
Dark's heart sank slightly as he realized that even with the remnant divinity of the Moon Goddess, he could only draw out the [Lust] points that exceeded 80.
The lower the deadly sin indicator, the harder it was to extract.
But didn't that mean that [Flower Cards] could also only draw out the points that exceeded 80?
On second thought, an 80-point baseline was still acceptable.
With that, his thoughts shifted immediately to armor crafting.
The hunger for [Lust] coming from the [Spiritual Furnace] was real. Even over 10 points of Dark’s own [Lust] wasn’t enough to satisfy it, suggesting that the "Moon Goddess Armament," crafted based on the "Digi-Spirit" template, had an astonishing upper limit!
This, of course, was a good thing.
Dark had been eyeing the Holy Gold Cloths of the Valkyrie for quite some time, which was why he was so eager to create his own armament.
If he could satisfy the hunger of this "Moon Goddess Armament," it might turn out to be a great product.
But with his own [Lust] depleted, how could he satisfy it now?
At this point, Dark’s gaze fell upon the vials and the Bottle of Thoughts on the table!
These containers held [Lust] originally drawn from the Moon Goddess statue. For the Moon Goddess’s remnant divinity, it would be the most compatible source, though the only downside was the risk of the armament losing control, similar to magical spirits.
But as he had considered before, with his own [Lust] serving as suppression, it might be possible to prevent such a loss of control.
Based on the calculation that one [Pride I] could suppress one [Lust III · Moon], 3 points of Dark's own [Pride] should be able to suppress 30 points of the Moon Goddess-version [Lust].
With that in mind, 13 points of Dark's own [Lust] should suppress 130 points of the Moon Goddess-version [Lust].
This meant that even if he injected all of the Moon Goddess-version [Lust] he currently had, he wouldn't need to worry about losing control!
After confirming his calculations, Dark immediately picked up a vial filled with the Moon Goddess-version [Lust], and poured 10 points of it into the [Spiritual Furnace].
As expected, the 10 points of the Moon Goddess-version [Lust] were quickly absorbed.
Dark then picked up another vial filled with the same substance. After pouring it all in, he took the Bottle of Thoughts, which held 30 points of the Moon Goddess-version [Lust], and emptied it into the [Spiritual Furnace].
The addition of 50 points of the Moon Goddess-version [Lust] significantly reduced the hunger emanating from the "Moon Goddess Armament," but it still wasn’t fully satisfied.
"Gatomon." Dark called softly, and Gatomon, who had been waiting in the wings, instantly appeared by his side.
"Use the magic brain dropper to extract [Lust] from the statue and put it into the Bottle of Thoughts."
"On it." Gatomon quickly grabbed the magic brain dropper and Bottle of Thoughts, dashing to the base of the Moon Goddess statue and extracting [Lust] with the dropper.
Without the remnant divinity, the Moon Goddess statue could no longer store [Lust] well, and pink mist was continuously leaking from the statue.
Gatomon moved swiftly, extracting 30 points of the Moon Goddess-version [Lust] in an instant.
Rather than returning immediately, Gatomon handed the Bottle of Thoughts to Leomon.
Leomon cautiously carried the Bottle of Thoughts toward Dark, as if terrified of breaking the small bottle.
Meanwhile, Mismagius had already passed an empty vial to Gatomon.
Gatomon quickly filled that vial too and handed it to the returning Leomon.
This back-and-forth process allowed Dark to continuously pour the Moon Goddess-version [Lust] into the [Spiritual Furnace].
When he poured the contents of the Bottle of Thoughts into the furnace for the third time, the hunger inside finally disappeared.
"A total of 13 points of [Lust] and 120 points of the Moon Goddess-version [Lust] were absorbed!"
Dark finally breathed a sigh of relief, immediately dedicating himself entirely to the final stage of crafting.
...
Meanwhile, the [Lust] stored within the Moon Goddess statue exceeded Dark's expectations.
Gatomon only stopped after filling both the Bottle of Thoughts and three vials again.
By then, the inside of the goddess statue was completely empty, utterly drained.
...
After drinking a prepared "Magic Energy Restoring Potion," Dark finally completed the final stage of [Spiritual Smelting]!
Sensing the calm within the [Spiritual Furnace], he pressed down with a magic pen from above, compressing the spherical crafting magic circle into a flat shape, which gradually shrank into a thick light screen, covering the surface of the magic card.
At last, even the light screen contracted and vanished into the card surface.
The entire armor crafting process was complete!
Dark let out a sharp breath and looked at the face of the magic card.
As the white light faded, the image of the armament gradually appeared on the card's surface.
It resembled the living metal sculpted in the likeness of the Moon Goddess, but upon closer inspection, one would notice the addition of many fine lines on the humanoid figure, giving it a more mechanical appearance, as if it were a robot assembled from metal components.
This humanoid figure, with silver as its base color, was entirely different from any "Digi-Spirit" in Dark's memory.
He had expected the "Moon Goddess Armament" to be a shadow-attributed "Digi-Spirit," but it turned out not to be.
As he observed the "Moon Goddess Armament" on the card, Dark wondered, "I wonder if it can allow humans or Digimon to evolve like the [Digi-Spirit]?"
In his mind, the difference between [Digi-Spirit] and traditional armor lay in its ability to transform humans into Digimon, unlike regular armor, which was merely worn like armor.
Moreover, the [Digi-Spirit] came in three forms: humanoid, beast, and fusion, corresponding to Champion, Ultimate, and Mega levels of Digimon.
This was undoubtedly a reflection of its potential.
If the "Moon Goddess Armament" lacked such a feature, it would be somewhat disappointing.
To find out, Dark immediately injected magic energy and checked the information on the armor card.

[Card name: Soul of Moon Goddess I]
[Type: Item Card]
[Effect ①: Divine Armament · Moon Goddess.]
[Effect ②: Deadly Sin Armament · Lust.]
[Effect ③: Moon Goddess (1%)]
▲
"Divine Armament!"
"Deadly Sin Armament!"
There were no excessive descriptions, yet there was an overwhelming sense of reassurance.
Excitement flashed in Dark’s eyes as he immediately grabbed the magic card [Soul of the Moon Goddess], summoning it with a Normal Summoning Spell.
“In the name of Dark Demon, magic summon!”
As a torrent of magic energy surged into the card, a radiant and pure light erupted from its surface.
In an instant, it was as if moonlight poured down, and a silver-white mechanical humanoid bathed in the light emerged into form.
It was none other than an armament with the appearance of the Moon Goddess.
Her long silver hair flowed sharply, her pale face gleamed like jade, and two fine ribbons hung down from the edges. What was once a silk dress had transformed into armored skirts, and she held a peculiar hammer-like weapon, while a silver mirror, as round as the full moon, floated behind her head.
Without a doubt, the mirror was the same copper one held by the statue of the Moon Goddess. But where did this hammer-shaped weapon come from?
Dark observed closely.
Suddenly, he noticed that the tightly shut eyes of the Moon Goddess Armament were slowly opening, and spiritual light gleamed within her pupils.
“Am I… revived?”
The voice that came from her mouth was crisp and pleasant, like the ringing of a bell, filled with surprise.
However, Dark mercilessly shattered the Moon Goddess’ remnant divinity’s illusion: “No, you're not.”
The [Soul of the Moon Goddess] immediately fell silent, closing her mouth, then moved her hands and feet in silence.
Unlike the [Digi-Spirit], which resembled a mere figurine when inactive, the [Soul of the Moon Goddess] was like a normal robot girl. Apart from her body being made of metal, she wasn’t much different from a regular human and could move freely.
In this regard, she was very similar to the legendary "Marionettes" made from living metal.
Moreover, she seemed to possess a magic recovery ability sufficient to support regular activity.
No wonder she mistakenly believed she had been "revived."
After observing her from top to bottom, Dark asked with concern, “How do you feel?”
The Soul of the Moon Goddess responded, “Better than ever!”
Even though Dark had crushed her hope, she still seemed to be in high spirits.
“I have a feeling,” she said excitedly. “I think I’ve found a path to resurrection!”
“A path to resurrection?”
After repeating her words, Dark turned to examine the third effect of the [Soul of the Moon Goddess I] magic card.
Unlike the more straightforward first and second effects, the [Effect ③: Moon Goddess] reminded him of the [Effect: Sacred Sword] from the [Honedge].
At that moment, the Soul of the Moon Goddess continued, “Although I’m not sure why, I can clearly sense that I’ve gained a trace of primal divinity. With this trace of primal divinity, there’s a possibility! If I can absorb more primal divinity based on this foundation, I can recast my godhood, seize divine authority, and become the Moon Goddess!”
Her face lit up with joy, and a [Lust] symbol faintly appeared on her forehead, her expression glowing with radiance.
Thanks to her explanation, Dark immediately understood what the [1%] in [Effect ③: Moon Goddess (1%)] signified.
“In other words, if you can raise this 1% to 100%, you’ll have the foundation to forge godhood.”
“But how do we acquire the Moon Goddess’ primal divinity?”
“Do we need to find the Ancient Temple of the Moon?”
Dark looked at the overly excited Soul of the Moon Goddess and couldn’t help but feel that relying on her alone wasn’t the most reliable course of action.
Besides, Dark himself wasn’t particularly interested in anything to do with gods.
However, the notion of this [1%] gave him a feeling like "gaining experience to level up."
It seemed as though raising this percentage would upgrade the armor card as well.
“Maybe it really can level up?”
Dark couldn’t help but examine the first and second effects of [Soul of the Moon Goddess I].
In fact, these two effects were what had thrilled him the most.
▼
[Effect ①: Divine Armament - Moon Goddess]
[Effect ②: Deadly Sin Armament - Lust]
▲
He had gained two forms of armament at once. One was based on godhood, and the other on the deadly sin of Lust.
If both armament forms could evolve as the [Moon Goddess] percentage increased—like the way a [Digi-Spirit] could evolve from "human form" to "beast form" and then merge into one—then it would truly have unlimited potential.
“Perhaps being able to upgrade is one of the divine card’s special traits?”
Dark pondered carefully.
Overall, this [Soul of the Moon Goddess I] should be the first [divine card] he had obtained.
Here, the term “divine card” wasn’t merely a descriptor, but a classification for magic cards that possessed “divine power.”
With this in mind, Dark glanced again at the Soul of the Moon Goddess.
He was actually itching to try out the two types of armament, but seeing how excited the Soul of the Moon Goddess was, he hesitated to interrupt.
“How should I address you?” Dark asked.
The Soul of the Moon Goddess, still bubbling with excitement, responded, “Just call me Moon Goddess.”
...
“Alright then, Moon Goddess.”
Even though she wasn’t quite there yet.
Dark said, “So, Moon Goddess, may I use you?”
The Soul of the Moon Goddess: “???”
Dark had already brought two fingers together, pinching the magic card [Soul of the Moon Goddess I]. His expression turned serious as he quietly chanted:
“... In the name of Dark Demon, Magic Summon].”
A bright light burst forth from the Moon Goddess’ chest, and the silver mirror behind her head rapidly expanded, reflecting her entire figure.
Then, a powerful suction force exploded from the mirror, instantly pulling the Moon Goddess’ body inside.
In the blink of an eye, the large silver mirror, which had absorbed the Moon Goddess’ soul, now hovered behind Dark.
Suddenly, a flash of insight struck him, and he spread his arms wide, softly calling out, “Armament Evolution(Spirit Evolution)!”
In an instant, the radiant light released from the silver mirror enveloped his entire body. His form underwent a drastic transformation within the evolving light.
His height that had seemed a bit short due to his age instantly lengthened, and his facial features became more chiseled, as if he had leapt from twelve years old to eighteen. His entire demeanor changed accordingly.
Around him, pieces of silver-white armor from the Moon Goddess Armament materialized one by one, tightly adhering to his skin, exuding a cool touch.
Although he had seen plenty of people “suit up” before, this was Dark’s first time formally doing it himself, and to be honest, the experience was quite thrilling!
Even though the "Armament Evolution" wasn’t complete yet, Dark could already feel an immense surge of power coursing through his body. If he arm-wrestled with Dianna now... he probably wouldn’t lose, right?
Of course, it wasn’t something worth celebrating too much.
All in all, the “Divine Armament - Moon Goddess” felt similar to the “Spirit Evolution” of a [Digi-Spirit].
It had evolved him from a human into a Digimon!
Once the evolution was complete, he had transformed into a tall and graceful “Moon Goddess”!
