In the bathroom, Sōseki stood quietly in front of the mirror.
"Although the previous resonance therapy has had some
effects, it still failed to overcome the last line of defense. This time, it is
better to change to catharsis therapy, but it won’t be easy to vent
anger."
Sōseki gently rubbed his eyebrows and lowered his eyelids.
"Relatively speaking, anger may be the most difficult thing to disguise.
It's okay to deceive a children, but I may be exposed when dealing with people
like Tsunade... Then, I can only hypnotize myself temporarily!"
Splash—
The refreshing water splashed on his face, Sōseki raised his head,
looked at himself in the mirror, and smiled slightly, "Then, now I am a
good class leader who is completely thinking about Mizuki’s sake!"
He then gets out of the bathroom.
"Sorry for keeping you waiting."
Shizune shook her head, "It’s fine."
Mizuki, who was leaning on crutches, opened his mouth slightly,
and finally said with difficulty, "Thank you, thank you!"
……
"No, I can't gamble anymore. If I gamble again, I will lose
all the tuition fees for Shizune... But, what if I win and get back my money?
After losing so many times, it must be my turn to win!"
A crazy conversation resounded throughout the room.
Boom!
The door was slammed open, and Shizune angrily ran towards the stunned
Tsunade.
"Tsunade-sama, didn't you promise not to gamble again?"
Tsunade obviously did not expect Shizune to appear at noon, and
chuckled awkwardly. "Haha, I haven't gone yet."
Shizune puffed her cheeks, and "reprimanded" with her
hands on her hips, "If I didn't come back earlier today, you would have
gone to the casino again."
While Tsunade was embarrassed, she suddenly caught a glimpse of
the two people standing at the door and quickly changed the subject,
"Shizune, are you inviting your classmates for dinner today?"
Hearing Tsunade's words, Shizune finally remembered that Sōseki
was still there. She hurriedly lowered her hands that were on her hips, dropped
her head, which was too hot to think, and her body became stiff.
Seeing Shizune’s condition, Tsunade helplessly said, "You
guys can come in first."
"Tsunade-sama, sorry for interrupting your rest."
Tsunade shook her head gently, and her eyes are fixed on Mizuki,
who was leaning on crutches, "You came here for him today?"
Sōseki clearly felt that Mizuki's breathing become a lot faster,
and then he said without the slightest hesitation, "That's right. Mizuki
was seriously injured by some bullies in the third grade yesterday, and the
hospital told us today that Mizuki may not be able to become a Shinobi anymore!"
Tsunade frowned when she heard this. Although she had heard
Shizune mention about the fight yesterday, she never expected it to be this
serious, ‘Is the current Academy this chaotic?’
However, she also knew that now was not the time to pursue
responsibility, and so took a few steps forward and pressed her right hand that
is covered in chakra on Mizuki's shoulder.
One second, two seconds...as long as a century has passed.
Under the atmosphere where the air was almost freezing, Tsunade
finally said slowly, "It's really serious."
Mizuki asked with a trembling body, "Then, do I still have
a chance?"
"It’s not that there is no chance of recovery." Mizuki
looked ecstatic at first, but soon heard Tsunade continued, "But the risk
of this operation is very high. From the perspective of a Medical-nin, I advise
you to give up becoming Shinobi."
Mizuki was very shocked, and then, he suddenly raised his head
and said, "Even if there is only a 10% chance of cure, I will never give
up!"
Tsunade raised her eyebrows and looked at Mizuki in surprise,
"He is obviously just an ordinary little brat, yet he has such a
belief!"
At this moment, Sōseki asked in a timely manner, "Tsunade-sama,
what is the chances of a successful operation?"
Tsunade pondered for a moment and said, "If I was in charge
of the operation, the success would be 80%..."
"That’s great, Tsunade-sama, please..."
"But, I won't do it."
Mizuki's ecstatic expression solidified on his face. He opened
his mouth, but did not speak. He didn't dare to refute the authority of a great
person like Tsunade, so he can only lower his head sullenly, and his eyes are full
of despair and resentment.
Tsunade just told the truth. She was suffering from hemophobia so
she could not be in charge of the operation.
But Mizuki didn't know that. In his opinion, this bad woman is
basically playing with his "feelings."
‘Why do you all treat me like this? Why are everyone so evil?’
But at this moment, Sōseki suddenly shouted loudly,
"Tsunade-sama, please wait. Mizuki really wants to become a Shinobi,
please give him a chance!"
Mizuki's body froze when he heard it, and Sōseki’s words seemed
to shine into his heart. Even he himself did not dare to fight against
"power", but Sōseki actually argued with such a great person for him!
‘I didn't expect that the person I hate the most turn out to be
the person who treats me the best! Perhaps, I simply hate myself, hate myself because
we’re from the same dark background, but I can't be as bright as him!"
Tsunade was silent for a moment and then said, "Come with
me."
After saying that, she led Sōseki into the guest room.
"It's not that I don't want to help him, but I really can't
do it. After the last war, I got hemophobia." Tsunade smiled
self-deprecatingly, "Isn’t it ridiculous? As a Medical-nin, I actually
fear blood.” (A/N: Tsunade has already acknowledge the protagonist here, and
she doesn’t care about leaking the so-called secret of hemophobia)
Tsunade did not wait for Sōseki's ridicule or comfort, but heard
him talk about other things.
"As a child, I heard such a story told by wandering samurai
from other villages."
"He said that in the far west there is a country called the
Land of Sound, where there are many great musicians, and the best among them is
called Beethoven.” (A/N: Orochimaru’s Shinobi Village is located on the
formerly named Land of Rice Fields)
Tsunade muttered to herself, “Beet hoven? What a weird name."
"However, at the peak of his life, he became deaf in both
ears."
Tsunade raised her eyebrows and asked, " Then what?"
"He didn't give in to fate. Even in this predicament, he
still created countless music masterpieces and eventually became the best
musician in the Land of Sound. He said that he wanted to strangle the throat of
fate!"
"Strangle...the throat of fate!" Tsunade looked
shocked, and was silent for a moment. She did not dare to look directly at
Sōseki's hopeful gaze, "Are you telling me this story to encourage me?
It's useless, I don't have the courage like Beethoven in the story..."
Before Tsunade could finish her sentence, Sōseki shouted excitedly,
"I know it’s difficult. However, if you think you can't do it without even
trying, that kind of person is really bad!"
However, Tsunade remained just silent.
Even she herself is not sure whether she is afraid of blood or
the memories brought by blood.
Outside the door, Mizuki vaguely heard the fierce roar from the
room, and as if electrocuted, tears could not stop pouring out from his eyes,
"Class leader... he is actually arguing with that kind of great person for
me!"
‘Is this the warmth of light?’
