Chapter 104

For Jian Shiwu, this was undoubtedly something that was very difficult to digest. He knew very little about Ji company, and had tried to ask around from his parents in the past, but the result was that Jian Zicheng and the others always gave him a perfunctory response with the attitude of “don't worry about adults' business” which led him to look at the Ji's news only from the financial side, but only a few strokes, which had little effect.

He could have guessed that the water was not shallow for such a large company, but he could not have expected it to be so deep. He had thought that Shen Cheng's pressure and burden was only to keep the whole company running, but now he thought he had taken it for granted.

"Is it really... Gu Duan?"

Su Yuluo looked down at him, "Why do you have a look of hurt."

Jian Shiwu choked.

"According to reason, your contact with this company is only modest, and you are not one of the two parties, so why did you react so violently when you found out that Gu Duan was from the Tang Party." Su Yuluo smiled and said, "After all, you are still being led by him, you should be on the same line as him, shouldn't you?"

"......"

Jian Shiwu had a heart attack.

He wasn't going to get on the same page as Donald.

But he didn't have time to react as he was already in the corridor and the cameraman was following him again, so there was no more time to talk. Jian Shiwu was not the kind of person who would bring his personal emotions into his work, Gu Duan had given him the job of collecting information, whether the two were on different sides now or not, he had to do his job properly.

Jian Shiwu probably had almost finished sorting it out before taking it to Gu Duan, knocked on the door and spoke respectfully, "Sir, I've finished sorting out all the information."

Gu Duan crossed his legs and casually said "hmmm”.

The office had only been tidied up in the morning, and now there was a mess on the table, and there were even cigarette butts, this man was the design director of the project team, but if one didn't know, they’d have thought he was a bandit.

Jian Shiwu inwardly lamented, "Is there anything else I should do?"

Gu Duan was looking at the documents in his hand, waved at him and said, "Come here, translate these for me."

In fact, Jian Shiwu's own English was not very good, but Gu Duan's was even worse than his, so the difficulty of translation was low, a simple direct translation was all that was needed.

Even if his academic qualifications belong to the bottom of the chain of contempt in Ji company, but why does Gu Duan who seems to be worse than his own academic performance can sit in this position?

Is it related to the Tang Party?

Is it possible that all of Donald's people don't need to have their education looked at?

He was lost in thought when he heard a scolding voice in his ear, "What are you doing?"

Jian shuddered, startled, and looked up to meet Gu Duan's unkind gaze.

"I'm sorry." He honestly admitted his mistake.

Because of the translation work, the two of them were a little closer together, and Jian Shiwu always had a fragrant milk fragrance on his body. When he raised his face, the small fair face was also soft. When those round black eyes looked at him, it was as if some small animal was staring innocently at him.

Gu Duan swallowed the scolding that was on his lips. He leaned back, half reclining in his chair, and craned his neck in discomfort: "You can give me a separate version of the translation of that just now."

Jane Shiwu: "Okay."

He looked at Gu Duan as he was always rubbing his neck and asked, "Is it uncomfortable?"

Gu Duan blurted out, "Mm."

"Did you not sleep well last night, why don't I give you a massage?" Jian Shiwu said as soon as he sorted out the information, "I used to give my parents a massage at home too."

Gu Duan closed his eyes uncomfortably and tried to sleep: "It's an old problem."

Jian Shiwu also wanted to quiz about the Tang Party, the best way is to get closer to Gu Duan closer, maybe he could know more. So seeing the man did not really refuse, he put the documents aside to come over to help him rub his shoulders.

Through the shirt, he could feel the man's muscles were very hard and tense, this generally meant two kinds of conditions, either it is from constant fitness, or not very good health.

After pressing for a session, Gu Duan loosened his brow, "Your hands are still really okay."

"Yeah." Jian had a little brag, "If I lost my job in the future, opening a massage parlour wouldn't be bad business."

Gu Duan stifled a laugh: "Just like you, it's good to be sold and not count the money kid."

Cut!

You sound like you're so awesoms.

Jian Shiwu rolled his eyes where he couldn't see, but also because of Gu Duan's movement problem, he vaguely saw the wounds on this man's back, all of them were some old wounds, but the scars left were very gruesome. Jian Shiwu was short of knowledge, and couldn't tell how these were left, but he was sure that these were not ordinary bruises, some of these wounds were deep enough leave such big scars.

Gu Duan felt his pause: "What are you staring at."

Jane Shiwu: "Nothing....."

"You saw them?" Gu Duan reached for a cigarette, lit a root and said lazily, "Spooked?"

Jian Shiwu took the opportunity to inquire and said, "How did you get them?"

"Just came that way."

"Do your job." Gu Duan snorted, he spat a circle of smoke at Jian Shiwu, his red hair flared, and his face was indifferent: "Mind your own fucking business."

Jian Shiwu choked for a moment.

He was caught off guard by the smoke, his lungs were uncomfortable, he coughed uncontrollably, his face was red, his eyes were red, he glared at Gu Duan, very fierce.

Just when Gu Duan thought this little rabbit was going to scold someone.

Standing straight, Jian Shiwu rolled up his sleeves and continued to press, not knowing which acupuncture point on Gu Duan's back was pressed, the man who was smoking a cigarette was shaken by the sudden onslaught of soreness, and his cigarette fell off his leg.

Gu Duan: "Holy shit ......"

Jian Shiwu looked down at him with great concern, his small white face full of concern: "It's alright, I'm helping you to clear the circulation in your body, a person who is in good health will be fine, it won't hurt a lot, you can't stand it?"

No man would admit that he couldn't.

Gu Duan's face turned blue, the little rabbit in front of him seemed to have evolved into a black rabbit, gloating was written all over his eyes, the man gritted his teeth, "Not bad for unblocking, my neck is already fine, don't press it."

Jian Shiwu smiled: "Next time, ask me again ha."

Gu Duan could not wait to kick him in the feet.

The smile on Jian Shiwu's face only slowly disappeared when he came out of the office with the information in his arms. He felt that he was really too naive, whether it was Gu Duan, the seemingly unpredictable Su Yuluo, his parents who were hiding everything from him, or Shen Cheng who kept his mouth shut, he was like a stupid person who knew nothing, foolishly living in what he thought was the Garden of Eden.

If Donald was really that powerful, Shen Cheng's situation should have been very difficult back then, Ji Yuan Sheng was in a coma, there were major shareholders and opposing families eyeing like tigers, and then there was the ambitious Tang family who was pressing step by step. And that year, Shen Cheng had just finished the college entrance examination.

Shen Cheng went to the United States with a different kind of mood.

And, why did Shen Cheng never mention a word to him, either because he didn't trust him, or he felt that he was useless. It was obviously an equal relationship, why didn't he say a word.

...

Because he was depressed all day, Jian Shi didn't contact anyone after get off work. He put on a mask and a hat, took the subway and strolled around a small street. It was very lively here, with street stalls everywhere. There are some small businesses shouting offers.

He was looking at them when the mobile phone rang in his pocket. He took it out and saw that it was Shen Cheng calling and picked it up: "Hello."

Shen Cheng's voice came from the other end of the line, "Where are you."

"I'm outside, what's wrong?"

There was silence on the other end of the line for a moment.

Then Shen Cheng said, "Aren't you going to send me a message after getting off work?"

"Huh?"

When had they ever agreed to this sort of thing.

Then he heard the usual commanding, calm and collected male voice on the other end of the line: "We haven't seen each other all day today."

Jian Shiwu was flabbergasted.

The crowd was raging, but the depression that had been hovering in his chest had somehow dissipated, and he arched his eyebrows and whispered, "Did you miss me?"

There wasn’t a squeak on the other end of the line.

Mr. Shen's pride prevented him from nodding his head in such a hopeless manner.

Jian Shiwu laughed out loud as he said, "I'll send you the address, come over if you get off work early today."

Shen Cheng will answer quickly: "Wait for me."

A call is not a big deal, but just hearing the other's voice will make him get in a better mood. Jian Shiwu then put away the phone with a new mind-set, even if he didn’t know Shen Cheng for the time being, it didn’t matter, they still have a life time, everything will come in time, right?

......

Two hours later

The Bentley's back row was piled up with bits and pieces of knick-knacks, the back compartment also had quite a few snacks and toys. The usually very serious, Ji's CEO's special business car had was a faint smell of street spicy hotpot. Jian Shiwu ate and drank enough, and was now playing with the braided rope in his hand.

Shen Cheng told him to sit back, "Put on your seat belt."

Because it was a private itinerary, Secretary Wang did not follow and Shen Cheng was the driver. Jian Shiwu sat in the co-pilot lazily without shape, and his slender fingers were still weaving flower ropes. Recently at the Chrysanthemum Festival, there is the habit of wearing ropes, but generally children or those couples who are in love like to wear them.

Jian Shiwu did it for the first time, and the compilation was crooked. He asked Shen Cheng, "How is it?"

Shen Cheng looked at it for a while and gave his opinion: "Ugly."

"......"

His self-confidence was dealt a blow.

Jian Shiwu bristled, huffing and pouting as he retrieved the flower rope and whispered to him, "No taste."

Just in time for the traffic lights, Shen Cheng gave him a sideways glance: "I have bad taste?"

Jian Shiwu was upset, and gave a soft hum in reply.

Shen Cheng's dark eyes seemed to glide over with a smirk, the man's voice with a touch of mischief: "Are you belittling yourself."

Jian Shiwu didn’t move for a while, his clumsy little brain slowed down as it took a while to understand what it meant, a sense of embarrassment filled his heart, and he wanted to put the flower rope away: "If you dislike it, forget it."

Shen Cheng raised an eyebrow noncommittally, "Angry?"

Jian Shiwu took the snacks from the back seat and opened the bag to eat, his mouth bulging with food, ignoring him.

Shen Cheng stretched out his arm and took the flower rope, he looked at it and put it next to him.

Jian Shiwu was startled.

The red light passed, the man started the car and saw the snacker next to him staring, and slowly spoke: "Isn't it for me, I kept it."

Jian Shiwu seized the opportunity: "Don't you think it’s too ugly?

"I can't help it."

The corners of Shen Cheng's mouth were slightly hooked as he spoke slowly and deliberately, “Who made me have poor taste."

Day Two

At lunchtime in the cafeteria, Jian Shiwu followed a few of the interns to eat together, it was the only time they could have the time to chat and exchange a bit of gossip with each other.

Sun Liman is worthy of being on the front line of eating melons: "Hey, have you heard? I heard someone say this morning that our President Shen has a red flower rope on his wrist!"

This thing is the same as the leather band that is popular on the internet now.

Su Yuluo was worthy of the village network, puzzled: "What"

Jin Zhe looked at Jian Shiwu with a meaningful gaze and explained, "Stupid ah, it means, there is something up with Mr. Shen."

Su Yuluo ate with his head down and said, "This kind of rope will be tied from home. It is also a custom at the Chrysanthemum Festival."

Jian Shiwu was looking very guilty, and he responded as he drank his soup, "Yeah, the family will tie it and you can buy it on the roadside."

Sun Liman smiled and said: "What do you know, that thing is not an ordinary style, but a mandarin duck chain woven with flowers. It looks like it was made by the little lover himself, but I just don't know where the other pair is."

Jian’s movements gave a pause, and he almost choked on his soup, holding his face red.

Sun Liman said, "Is everything okay?"

"It's fine."

He calmed down and tried hard not to be seen. He moved his legs a little uneasily, but he didn't dare to say anything, the so-called other half of the flower rope was tied to his ankle.

Sun Liman sighed a sentence: "This is a mess, today the company estimates that half of the young boys and girls will lose their love."

Jian Shiwu was too weak to look up.

Jin Zhe smiled and said, "That can't be helped, those who capable get the best."

"That's true." Sun Liman made a "tsk"  sound: "But I heard, that flower rope braided was quite ugly, I say, my eight-year-old niece braids better than that, such a hand chain, Mr. Shen's taste is really unique ah!"

Wahhh the author really surprises me. It’s like Shiwu has forgotten that they parted on a frustrating note 4years ago because of he was too immersed in what happened in his past life that he reacted to Cheng in a weird and fearful manner.
And if he had told you what was going on what would you have done anyways😏 this Mary Sue halo is getting annoying
