[CFCS] Chapter 179
Arc 12.17 - Life of Music
Translated by guilty

After a good night's sleep, Jing Yang woke to see Gu Mang seated on the bed with a computer on his lap.

Jing Yang laid on his stomach, propped up his upper body, and muttered suspiciously to Gu Mang, "Why don't you go to the study? What are you doing here?"

Gu Mang felt relieved when he saw Jing Yang's rosy face and saw that he didn't appear to have any physical problems. "Are you hungry?"

Jing Yang touched his stomach and said to Gu Mang that he was hungry. "You go to the kitchen and tell them I want squirrel fish and crab flavored eggs, and then make some seafood porridge."

"Got it." Gu Mang ruffled Jing Yang's hair. "Come down quickly."

Even if Jing Yang awoke, Gu Mang knew he wouldn't get up straight away. He had to lie in bed for a while before finally getting up, so he went downstairs first and asked the kitchen to make Jing Yang's meal.

After Gu Mang had left, Jing Yang began to recall the scene that had abruptly appeared in his head just before he passed out. The scene he saw at that time was unlike anything he had ever seen before, so why did he see it so suddenly? And when the red-clothes youth was stabbed in the stomach with a knife, the pain was very real.

Jing Yang was having trouble figuring out more and more things. Why, for example, was he becoming increasingly drowsy, or why did he suddenly witness such an image and feel extremely real? Was it because he had a problem with his soul, or because he had a problem with the system in his soul?

Jing Yang pondered about it for a long time but couldn't think of anything. Gu Mang waited downstairs for a bit but didn't hear him come down, so he went upstairs and pulled him out of bed.

With his feet wrapped around Gu Mang's waist and his hands hugging his neck while being carried downstairs by Gu Mang, Jing Yang looked like a sloth.

Jing Yang was slouching at the dining table, squinting his eyes and chewing slowly as he ate the squirrel fish he had lately enjoyed, still thinking about those unanswered questions in his heart.

Gu Mang noticed Jing Yang was going to fall asleep after eating and was worried that he would do so before he was full. Gu Mang hastily slipped some veggies into Jing Yang's mouth while his mouth was still.

With Gu Mang's feeding, Jing Yang almost finished his meal, and he ate a lot more than usual. In truth, he didn't want to sleep; he was only trying to figure out certain things that he didn't understand. But in the end, Jing Yang was fed and supported by Gu Mang, and he sat on the sofa with a bulging tummy, contemplating life.

Ji Xiao was in a coma for several days after being admitted to the hospital, which worried his parents. However, after the doctor's inspection, no problems with his body or brain were discovered, therefore they are unsure why he has been in a coma.

Ji Xiao had no idea how long he had been unconscious; all he knew was that he had been dreaming and couldn't wake up. He saw a lot of things in his dream, and they all looked extremely realistic to him, as if he had personally experienced them. Those fragments, however, are incomplete. They continued switching characters and scenes, causing his head to get increasingly confused.

Because of the changing images in his head, Ji Xiao's brain was overloaded. His brain nerves have been stiff the entire time, his head has been hurting more and more, and he eventually wakes up in pain.

Ji Xiao groaned as he awoke, his hands grabbing his hair. When his parents noticed he was awake, they called the doctor right away. The doctor observed that he was going insane from a headache, but he couldn't figure out what was causing it, so all he could do was give him medicines to treat the pain and calm him down.

Ji Xiao's parents were exhausted after long days of worrying and waiting. Now that Ji Xiao had awoken, the doctor believed he was well after observing him for a day, so Ji Xiao's parents returned home to rest first, leaving Ji Xiao to be examined in the hospital for a few days before being discharged.

Ji Xiao sat dazed on the bed, thinking about the dreams he'd had during his coma. He didn't think that they were dreams, but rather memories, but he couldn't figure out why he had them.

And, despite the fact that the memories came and went, his head was jumbled, and he couldn't figure out what they meant or hinted at. But, after waking up from his coma, he had a strange feeling in his heart that he didn't really love Liu Hang. He seems to want to get this guy and his heart at all costs just for some reason, not because of his true wish.

Ji Xiao got out of bed and walked over to the window. As he gazed out the window at the scenery in the garden, he thought to himself, this feeling was too sudden and strange. He obviously believed before that he couldn't live without Liu Hang, and that his life would be complete only if Liu Hang fell in love with him. But why did he suddenly feel out of love? Not only did he no longer love him, but he also didn't seem to care what happened to Liu Hang at all.

He got the impression that he didn't really love Liu Hang, but he also had the feeling that he should never let Chu Yang enjoy a happy life. This emotion was overwhelming, and a voice in his head kept reminding him of the significance of his existence. It was his task, and he had to finish it, to make Chu Yang die terribly in the end. If he failed to complete it, he would perish in a pit of everlasting misery.

Liu Hang had been attempting to contact Jing Yang for a long time but never got the opportunity. He had no way of contacting Jing Yang or meeting him face to face, so all he could do was wait and see.

Liu Hang had been waiting in the underground parking lot of Jing Yang's studio building practically every day for the previous few days. Because Jing Yang no longer stayed where Chu Yang had previously lived, Liu Hang had no idea where he lived and assumed he would go to the studio one day, so he waited every day.

Because Jing Yang did not come to the studio, he waited for several days without seeing him. Although the competition had just finished and Jing Yang's popularity had skyrocketed, he had no intentions to participate in any programs, so they must wait until he had enough time to rest before releasing new songs.

That day, Liu Hang arrived a little late. He saw Jing Yang and Gu Mang enter the elevator as he arrived. He stared blankly at Gu Mang and Jing Yang, and the elevator door shut behind him before he could react.

Gu Mang had just hugged Jing Yang as Jing Yang was leaning on Gu Mang, which surprised Liu Hang. Jing Yang and Gu Mang were together, he couldn't believe it. He had the impression that he had over-thought everything. However, he instantly remembered the voice he had heard the last time he called Jing Yang. Gu Mang's voice was certainly the one that made him feel a little familiar now that he remembered it.

Liu Hang's grip on the steering wheel was trembling. He couldn't believe Gu Mang and Jing Yang were together so quickly, but he couldn't keep lying to himself that what he saw and heard was not real.

Even if Jing Yang and Gu Mang were actually together, Liu Hang had made up his mind to ask Jing Yang in person.

Apart from Liu Hang, another person in the corner who witnessed Gu Mang hugging Jing Yang into the elevator was Ji Xiao, who was also waiting for him.

Ji Xiao's desire to kill Jing Yang became stronger by the day, to the point that he could no longer control or suppress it. He wouldn't be able to get rid of the painful and uncomfortable feeling if he didn't follow this idea.

Jealousy erupted in Ji Xiao's heart as he saw Gu Mang holding Jing Yang, eroding his body and mind. But even he couldn't figure it out: the person holding Jing Yang wasn't Liu Hang, so why was he so enraged, so enraged that he wanted to jump on Jing Yang and eat him alive?

Ji Xiao's eyes were red, and he only had one thought in his head right now: Jing Yang must not be allowed to enjoy a happy life. Even if Jing Yang's story did not end tragically, he must not let him live a happy life; he must let him die before himself.

Gu Mang and Jing Yang went up for a while before coming down. Gu Mang would undoubtedly bring bodyguards with him when he brought Jing Yang out. There would be some hidden bodyguards in addition to the two bodyguards that were following closely. As a result, the bodyguards had already discovered Liu Hang and Ji Xiao. The bodyguards gave Gu Mang a report, but he didn't take Jing Yang to avoid them. He was curious as to what they would do.

When the underground garage's elevator door reopened, Ji Xiao immediately confirmed that the person standing inside was Jing Yang, then pulled out the knife hidden in his sleeve and dashed towards Jing Yang at top speed.

Liu Hang had just gotten out of the car and was going to walk over to Jing Yang when he noticed Ji Xiao charging towards Jing Yang with a knife. He didn't have time to think, and he instinctively rushed out to stop Ji Xiao.

Ji Xiao could only see the position of Jing Yang's heart through his red eyes, and there was only one thing on his mind: he had to insert this knife into Jing Yang's heart, even if they died together.

He didn't notice Liu Hang who suddenly rushed out. It would be too late to stop even if he did. Without making a mistake, the knife in his hand plunged into Liu Hang's heart.

Ji Xiao felt he'd made it, but just as he was about to be overjoyed, he looked up and saw Liu Hang's face, and he froze, unsure how to react. What he was thinking in his head was not that he had wounded Liu Hang, but that he had failed this time, and that there might not be another chance.

Liu Hang stared down at the knife lodged in his chest, then up at Ji Xiao. He opened his mouth to say something, but fell back without saying anything.

When he saw Ji Xiao running over, Jing Yang was unconcerned or alarmed since he knew Gu Mang had surrounded him with bodyguards and Ji Xiao wouldn't be able to get near to him. When he saw the knife, however, his eyes clouded, and the image of the young man in red being stabbed by the knife flashed back into his head.

Jing Yang's brain went black as soon as he felt the pain of being stabbed again, and his body collapsed to the ground.

Gu Mang was holding Jing Yang when he felt something wasn't quite right with him. Seeing that Jing Yang had passed out, Gu Mang hugged him and called out in a panic, "Chu Yang?"

Jing Yang passed out in Gu Mang's arms and was knocked out.

Gu Mang rushed to the hospital, carrying Jing Yang into the car and left two bodyguards to deal with Ji Xiao and Liu Hang.

Gu Mang took Jing Yang to the hospital and did a comprehensive body checkup, but found no problems with his body. Jing Yang awoke on his own after the checkup.

When the doctor asked if Jing Yang was in any discomfort, Jing Yang was ready to respond no, but then he remembered that he had suddenly collapsed, and Gu Mang must have been worried, so he made an excuse, claiming that he had fainted because he was terrified when he saw Ji Xiao rush over with a knife.

And Jing Yang's excuse ultimately contributed to Ji Xiao's tragic life.

Ji Xiao was adamant about killing Jing Yang, so he smeared poison on the knife. After the knife pierced Liu Hang's heart, he died on the way to the hospital.

Ji Xiao was charged with homicide with intent. Ji Xiao's parents hired a lawyer to defend him, hoping to decrease the severity of the sentence he received as much as possible. The defense was based on Ji Xiao's mental problem. However, Ji Xiao's parents' company quickly faced significant losses, and the stock price plummeted to the point of bankruptcy and debt. The company and Ji Xiao were involved in an accident that took them off guard, and they were unable to save them.

Gu Mang was already furious because Ji Xiao had scared Jing Yang and caused him to faint. Gu Mang's rage was like thunder when he learned that Ji Xiao had smeared poison on the knife and intended to kill Jing Yang. He wanted everyone in the Ji family to bear the price for Ji Xiao's deeds so that they would never turn over in this life.

Ji Xiao killed Liu Hang, and Liu Hang's parents despised Ji Xiao. The Ji family had been harmed by Gu Mang's revenge and suffered economic suppression, and the Liu family had been affected as well, making them even more enraged and despised the Ji family. When the Liu family's relationship with the Ji family deteriorated, they not only trampled on them, but also threatened to sue until Ji Xiao was sentenced to life in prison.

Ji Xiao was sentenced to prison, and he knew it would be hard. He was well aware that he had failed yet again in this life, and that he had failed to finish his mission, for it was he, not Chu Yang, who received the tragic ending. He didn't know why he used the word again, but he got the distinct impression that this was not the first time he had lived a life that ended tragically.

That kind of sadness, pain, and refusal to die afflicted Ji Xiao continually, making him believe that it was better to die than to live, yet because he was constantly been watched in prison, he couldn't even commit suicide.

  5. (??_??)? 🧐 🤔 This is starting to become complicated, I hope the antagonist doesn't make it to difficult for the MC, seeing as he's starting to feel sleepy for some reason and even somewhat lazy

  6. Am I the only one this time that was slightly disappointed by the ML and MCs relationship? Not to mention the ML going down on MC when he was in a delirious state (but was brushed over simply bc he was the MC) but the ML just seemed rude or cold almost everytime he opened his mouth, He treated the ML more like a tool to easily get things done then a lover.

  8. Maaaayyybe, who antagonist shou really liked is the ML. But ML likes MC. MC is in a relationship with scum gong. Antagonist shou can't get ML through seduction because ML is incredibly stubborn, antagonist shou can't force ML because ML is too powerful. So antagonist shou turned to MC, who he should be close to, and he wanted MC to experience his pain so antagonist shou seduced scum gong. Scum gong being a scum gong, was tempted and ended up breaking up with MC. Which gave ML a chance to get MC. Or there is no scum gong it's just antagonist shou being greedy and jealous then stabbed MC, which leads to his death. However, ML sacrificed something so MC can reincarnate and allow his soul to heal
