[CFCS] Chapter 164
Arc 12.2 - Life of Music
Translated by guilty
Jing Yang shared many shots with Gu Mang, but he also took a lot of solo shots later. Thus, he is no longer required to shoot other scenes.
Jing Yang sat in the tent, waiting for the filming to be over. His hands were numb from the cold, he trembled from time to time, and his cold grew increasingly apparent. He wanted to sip some hot water to warm up, but the only water available was mineral bottles. Drinking it will make him colder, so he can just endure it.
When the shooting was finished, everyone immediately packed their belongings and prepared to leave.
Jing Yang wrapped his arm around his body and waited for the car to take him and the others back. The assistant director then suddenly approached Jing Yang and asked him to follow him. Jing Yang had no idea why, but he followed him and walked toward a black RV.
The assistant director came to the door and knocked. "Go up," the assistant director said to Jing Yang as the door opened.
As soon as he saw the RV, Jing Yang realized what was going on. When he walked in, he saw Gu Mang sitting on the sofa.
Gu Mang's assistant soon left the car and there were just two of them there, and the car had begun to move.
Gu Mang had been focusing on his phone. Realizing that Jing Yang was still standing, he looked up and said, "Sit."
"Why are you looking for me?" Jing Yang took a seat next to him on the leather sofa.
"Nothing, I'll send you back." Gu Mang noticed that Jing Yang's lips had turned purple and that he didn't look good, so he asked, "Are you sick?"
"It looks like I have a cold. Achoo!" As soon as Jing Yang finished speaking, he sneezed.
Jing Yang couldn't complain about Gu Mang's excuse. Wanting to send him back, did he even know where he lived? If Jing Yang didn't know this person was his lover, it would be impossible for him to get in the car. But, given that he already knew, he wouldn't say no, also he could stay somewhere more comfy.
Gu Mang pulled a silver and black thermos mug from the box next to the armrest and placed it in front of Jing Yang, "Drink."
Jing Yang looked at the mug, then at Gu Mang, but remained still.
"I haven't drunk it." Gu Mang said, looking at him.
Jing Yang didn't hate him, but he did believe they had only recently met in this world.
Gu Mang seemed to be overly concerned with him, but he's becoming increasingly uncomfortable, and he's not in the mood to shirk any longer. He took a sip from the thermos mug after opening the lid.
The tea in the thermos has a slight bitterness to it, as well as a Chinese medicinal flavor, but it is not too overpowering. Although he had no idea what kind of tea Gu Mang used, the warm tea seeped into his stomach, making his body less cold,
Gu Mang remained focused on the phone, as if looking at something interesting. Suddenly, his phone started playing music. Jing Yang was just vaguely familiar with that sound and didn't give it any thought. He was just holding the mug and carefully drinking from it.
Gu Mang abruptly shifted the phone screen to Jing Yang and asked, "Did you write the lyrics for this song?"
Jing Yang was startled as he stared at the phone.
Gu Mang looked at Jing Yang's dazed expression, thinking to himself how adorable he is. Those eyes were particularly dazzling, as if there was a sea of stars inside, and he felt as if he was about to be sucked in.
Jing Yang was stunned before focusing on the content on the phone. The person singing was the original owner. As for whether the music was written by the original owner or not, Jing Yang needs to look into it first.
"Did you write the lyrics yourself?" Gu Mang shook his phone again and asked.
"It should be..." Jing Yang was unsure if it was due to the cold. His brain was a little sluggish, and the system was a little sluggish as well.
"Should?" Gu Mang was puzzled by his answer.
"The lyrics were written by me." Jing Yang said after some searching. The song's lyrics were created by the original owner, but the music was not since the music he wrote was used by someone else.
"The lyrics aren't bad, but the music is unpleasant, and the singing abilities are equally mediocre." Gu Mang expressed his opinion plainly.
Jing Yang could only remain silent because he hadn't fully understood the story and was unsure whether or not to oppose Gu Mang. Gu Mang was the king of music and had ruled the world of music for many years. His assessment reflected his higher expectations for music than the average person. As a result, Gu Mang would be able to tell if the original owner's singing abilities were good or not.
The car stopped. Jing Yang didn't expect them to arrive so quickly, but Gu Mang remained still. not intended to get out of the car, and did not allow Jing Yang to get out of the car.
"Have we arrived?" Jing Yang asked.
Gu Mang replied, "Not yet."
"Do you know where I live?" Jing Yang realized he hadn't told him where he lived.
"I know." Gu Mang looked at Jing Yang.
Jing Yang had no idea how Gu Mang knew, but he couldn't ask at this time because what he said may reveal that he didn't fully understand the original owner's situation. Jing Yang was a little upset at his inability to respond.
The car door opened after a while. Gu Mang's assistant entered with a paper bag, placed it on the table, and then left. Then the car continued to drive.
"Cold medicine, take it." After looking at the bag, Gu Mang said to Jing Yang.
"Oh." There were no unexpected reactions from Jing Yang. When Gu Mang asked him to, he took the medicine.
"Remember to go to the hospital if you don't feel better tomorrow." Gu Mang said.
"Okay." Jing Yang drank the pill and swallowed it.
Less than 10 minutes after taking the medicine, Jing Yang's head went light and he felt drowsy. He closed his eyes and considered taking a break; little did he know that he would soon fall asleep.
Gu Mang watched Jing Yang slowly lay down on the sofa and then covered him with a blanket from another box. Gu Mang, who was supposed to return to his seat after helping Jing Yang, stared at Jing Yang's sleeping face and couldn't take a step away, and he squatted down slowly.
Gu Mang used the back of his hand to stroke Jing Yang's white and smooth face. He wondered how his skin could be so good at such a close range, where he couldn't even see any pores. The facial features are superb, and the appearance is stunning, but it's far from effeminate.
Gu Mang thought that, while this person's face was attractive, it was those starry eyes that he liked the most. It's even possible to say that those eyes captivated him. His heart, which had not had any good impression on anyone in many years, he had even taught that he would not be moved by anyone in this life, but who'd have guessed he'd fall in love with someone at first sight, especially when the other person is a boy?
Gu Mang lost track of time as he stared at Jing Yang's face. The car had stopped outside Chu Yang's neighborhood before he realized it. His assistant told him that they had arrived, but he was hesitant about waking Jing Yang.
Jing Yang was not familiar with anyone. Once he sensed the car had stopped, he struggled to open his eyes that seemed to be stuck with glue. His vision was still fuzzy and he saw double images, but he could see Gu Mang standing next to him. He sat up and asked, "Have we arrived?"
"Yes," Gu Mang said. "I'll take you up."
"Okay." Jing Yang did not refuse. He was afraid that if Gu Mang didn't take him, he might fall halfway.
Jing Yang struggled to get out of the car as he stood up and blew hard on his stuffy nose.
Gu Mang covered him with a blanket to keep the wind from making his cold worse.
Jing Yang's eyes darkened as he shifted his weight to one side.
"Hey, are you okay?" Gu Mang said as he hugged him tightly and touched his face.
Jing Yang's eyes could only open as wide as a slit because he was so weak. "It's okay..." he murmured, his voice weak.
Seeing that he didn't pass out, but rather appeared to be overly sleepy and weak due to the medicine's effects, Gu Mang felt relieved. But, looking at Jing Yang's appearance, he is worried about leaving him alone if he sends him back. What if something goes wrong?
Gu Mang thought for a moment before deciding not to send him back and instructing the driver to proceed to his own residence.
Jing Yang was on the verge of dozing off, but he held on tight to avoid falling asleep. After being held in Gu Mang's arms and feeling the familiar feeling that made him feel at ease, he fell asleep almost instantly.
Gu Mang brought Jing Yang inside his room and helped him in changing his clothes into pajamas so he could sleep more comfortably. After looking at Jing Yang's face over and over again, Gu Mang seemed to have made a lot of determination before ultimately getting up and leaving his own room to sleep in the guest room.
It’s already early in the morning. Gu Mang's daily schedule has always been regular, particularly when he is idle. He should have fallen asleep soon, but he couldn't sleep as long as he thought about the person who is currently sleeping in his bed.
Gu Mang struggled in his head for a long time, but in the end, he couldn't resist the most genuine feelings in his heart, and he swiftly got out of bed and walked out of the room.
When Gu Mang returned to his bedroom, he looked at Jing Yang, who was sleeping on his bed, and felt an incomprehensible emotion in his heart, as if Jing Yang had occupied his heart rather than his bed.
Gu Mang was slowly possessed by Jing Yang's rosy lips as he looked at them. He pondered the sensation of pressing his lips against Jing Yang's. After such thought came to him, Gu Mang placed his lips on Jing Yang's without hesitation.
Even in his dreams, Jing Yang was foggy, and the content of his dreams was so jumbled that he couldn't determine if it was a dream or memories. If it's a memory, is it the memory of this world? They seem to be all mixed up.
Jing Yang felt as though he was being kissed and his tongue was entangled with a familiar sensation and movement. His body reacted quickly, letting him know that it was his lover. However, he is unsure whether it is a dream or a reality. In any case, he could only trust his instincts.
Gu Mang felt motivated by Jing Yang's sudden response. He not only kissed Jing Yang deeper and deeper, but he also reached into his clothes and caressed him. He had only intended to kiss him so that he could go back to sleep blissfully afterward. But the sudden desire seemed to infiltrate his body and pass from the body to the brain in a second, and he’s no longer in control.
