Chapter 04 Till Death Do Us Part (Part 2)
The
orange flames of the red candles flickered, cloaking the bridal chasm in a wash
of fervour. The red plum in the vase bloomed charmingly, adding a hint of
sweetness to remaining lascivious desires wafting in the room.The
next morning, Ling Qiyang woke up on time. Although the aches throughout his
body made him a little uncomfortable, he still had to get up. They had a tea
ceremony with the Emperor and Empress today, and being late was not an option.
As his
drowsy eyes, Jun Lixuan's sharp features were the first thing that caught his
attention. Jun Lixuan had woken up early but did not wake Ling Qiyang. Instead,
he laid by his side, watching him quietly as he waited for this person to wake
up.
As
there were still ceremonies to be conducted today, Jun Lixuan did not cross the
line last night. After two climaxes, he helped Ling Qiyang wash up and went to

Qiyang shook his head, took the clothes that Jun Lixuan handed over. With Jun
Lixuan's help, he put it on slowly. Jun Lixuan had cleaned him last night, so
he didn't need to take a shower before heading out.
When
the two were adequately dressed, Ming Li, who was waiting at the door, walked
in with an attendant carrying toiletries. After they greeted the couple, one

Luo Su
was the attendant who accompanied Ling Qiyang during his wait for Jun Lixuan in
the bridal chambers last night. He was relatively young and seemed attentive
and intelligent. Ling Qiyang had a good impression of him.
Luo Su
knelt and kowtow to Ling Qiyang, officially recognising him as the master. Ling
Qiyang was not accustomed to others kneeling in front of him, and immediately he helped Luo
Su to his feet.
As they
had to rush to the palace before the Emperor ended the morning assembly, the
two did not eat breakfast in the manor. Instead, they brought along a box of
snacks to eat on the carriage. Soon, they left, and the carriage hurried along
the road. Ling Qiyang held a handwarmer, feeling the warmth pulsating through
his body, keeping the cold at bay.

Lixuan put down the teacup and said to Ling Qiyang, "You are now the
Prince Consort. Do not treat the servants too nicely, they might climb over you
and lose their manners."
Ling
Qiyang knew that he was talking about what him helping Luo Su to get up this
morning. He chuckled and replied, "With you around, no one dares to act
presumptuously. Since Luo Su will follow me all the time, it's also not good to
control him too much. He's not like the rest of the servants. In fact, allowing
him to retain his lively personality may help him do things more
cleverly."

Since you trust him, I will do so too. Giving him some freedom doesn't
hurt."
