Driver of The Beautiful CEO - Chapter 13: Reunion

Yin Hanruo was embarrassed. She sat in the taxi’s front passenger seat. What happened today was that she broke the contract first. Although it didn’t cause any bad consequences, Liu Yanbo had indeed been involved, and Liu Fei will probably continue to try and cause trouble.

"Don't you have anything to say to me?"

The dull atmosphere in the car made Yin Hanruo depressed. She didn't like this feeling.

Liu Yanbo lightly said: "Say what? Is there something wrong?"

"Are you angry?"

"Do I look angry?"

Liu Yanbo smiled, he truly wasn't angry. From the moment he promised to marry Yin Hanruo, he never thought that he'd completely stay out of trouble. It just happened earlier than expected.

Yin Hanruo looked at Liu Yanbo, his smile was warm and gentle, she was a little surprised.

This marriage was just a deal, and especially after Yin Hanruo made so many rules, it felt much more impersonal. Every day when she came back home and encountered him, she would always feel a bit awkward. It was one of the main reasons why the two didn’t talk much after marriage.

In such a cold arranged relationship, it was likely that if Liu Yanbo was any other man, the deal would've ended from today's events. Likely, they would also be so angry that the truth would be revealed to everyone. But, Liu Yanbo was different.

Was he really not angry? Or did he not care? Yin Hanruo suddenly wanted to understand him. "I don't want to go shopping anymore."

Liu Yanbo froze for a moment, then asked, "Where do you want to go then?"

Yin Hanruo turned to look at Liu Yanbo with a look of expectation. "Let’s go to a place you often go when you’re free!"

Going to a place a person likes to go often usually reveals a lot about their personality.

Although Yin Hanruo's EQ was not very high, she had plenty of ideas on how to understand a person. Otherwise, how could she manage the thousands of employees working in Ruomeng Group?

Liu Yanbo laughed, handed a bottle of water to Yin Hanruo, and at the same time said: "Miss Yin, just because you feel a little guilt doesn’t mean you have to force yourself to get to know me. It's unnecessary, I'm just doing what I should, there’s no need for compensation.”

Was Yin Hanruo pushing herself? Well… maybe a little.

Her plan was foiled, making her a little unhappy, but what made her the most unhappy was being called Miss Yin. It was a formal title. She and Liu Yanbo were indeed not familiar with each other, but they certainly weren’t just strangers.

After receiving the bottle, Yin Hanruo frowned, "Don't call me Miss Yin."

"What should I call you then? Wife?"

The car turned a corner and drove in the other direction, running against the bustling lot.

Maybe because the term wife was a little surprising, Yin Hanruo didn’t even notice that the car had changed course. "You can call me Hanruo."

To be called wife, in front of others, it'd be unavoidable. But when there was no one around, Yin Hanruo preferred not to, after all, Liu Yanbo wasn’t her real husband. He nodded with a smile and didn’t speak again.

On a hot summer day, as someone who lives in a coastal city, going to the beach was a pleasure. There were people of all ages enjoying the beach. Groups of friends sunbathing together, kids running around throwing sand at each other, and of course, people enjoying the waves.

After getting out of the car and following Liu Yanbo to a shade, Yin Hanruo looked at the lively crowd not far away and asked, "What are we doing here?"

"Didn't you say you wanted to go to a place I often go in my free time? This is it." Liu Yanbo sat casually on the ground, sitting in the shade of the trees, enjoying the hot sun.

"Do you come here alone often?"

Yin Hanruo was a little surprised. In her eyes, men nowadays usually don't enjoy sceneries, especially by themselves.

Liu Yanbo's eyes fell on a few playful children, his smile became more gentle, and he nodded. "Mm-hmm".

Yin Hanruo's eyes fell on a few women in stylish clothes, they all chatted and smiled widely. Liu Yanbo seemed to be looking at those women too.

"You look bored." Yin Hanruo was a little displeased. Your wife is right next to you and you dare look at other women?

Liu Yanbo lit a cigarette and comfortably said: "I also think I’m quite boring, but fortunately, I like this boring life."

Starting work at sunrise and resting at sunset. Although his house didn’t feel like home and his wife was distant, at least he had them. Liu Yanbo was satisfied with his current state of life.

"Can’t you smoke less?" Yin Hanruo said, dissatisfied. She had noticed that Liu Yanbo smoked about two packs a day.

"I'll try my best." Liu Yanbo replied, as he smoked his cigarette in three puffs, showing the contentment of a drug addict.

"Do whatever you want!" said Yin Hanruo, after hearing his obviously superficial answer.

Liu Yanbo smiled and didn’t say any more. The two of them sat like that for 20 minutes.

Yin Hanruo couldn't stand it anymore. For business elites like her, such dull silence wasn't enjoyable. It was a waste of time.

"Are you going to sleep here?"

Liu Yanbo laid on the floor, and placed his hand under his head, like a pillow; narrowing his eyes, he said, "I used to have this habit, but I won't today."

“What a weird habit...” Yin Hanruo wiped the beading sweat from her forehead while she muttered.

"Let's go! If you stay here for so long, you’ll have to sleep with a hydrating mask tonight."

The two hadn’t even walked a few steps when Liu Yanbo suddenly stopped, staring forward.

A group of people came forward, six men and one woman.

"Captain, can we stay a few days longer in the city?"

"Yeah! Brother Bai, we rarely see you. Can’t we stay a few days longer?"

The sea breeze was peaceful. Whose hair strands was it blowing? Whose past was it bringing?

The young man who the others referred to as captain didn’t care about the people around him and continued looking forward. But when he saw the man who was looking at him, many dusty old memories came to mind. His frown finally turned into a long lost smile.

"Young Sir Yanbo, long time no see!"

"Long time no see, young Sir Bin"

[T/N: Who could this Bai fellow be? :o Thanks for reading!]
